Massive Trade for CEH?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Massive Trade for CEH?

Postby kmbryant09 » Sun Oct 04, 2020 6:32 am

I've been trying to get CEH since the minute he was drafted by the Chiefs. My team has had a promising start and the CEH owner has not, he's at least entertaining offers from me at this point. I need another top RB and think I can make a legit run this year and build a great RB core of CEH, Sanders, Dobbins, Robinson, Gibson.

There are very few team's willing to even entertain trades for their top RBs, and I think CEH has legit #1 potential over the next 3-5 years.

He wants 3x 1sts AND J. Robinson, which I just can't get myself to do.

I've countered with 3x 1sts and M. Gaskin. All firsts are projected mid to late, with 2 being '21 1sts and one in '22.

We can't seem to find a middle ground - thoughts?
10-team/.5 PPR/5 Pts per Passing TD. Start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2FLEX (rb/wr/te)

RB: Bi. Robinson, D. Henry, D. Achane, , J. Cook, Z. Charbonnet, T. Chandler, R. Johnson, K. Mitchell, J.K. Dobbins, T. Allgeier, J. McLaughlin, S. Tucker, T. Bigsby
WR: G. Wilson, B. Aiyuk, J. Waddle, T. Higgins,, Z. Flowers, Di. Johnson, K. Toney, A. Iosivas
TE: K. Pitts, E. Engram, C. Okonkwo, G. Dulcich

Does subbing in Gibson for Gaskin get it done?

If you're set in getting CEH then try this. Or if he wants Robinson get him to add a third back. In my opinion that's a lot to give up for CEH. I think you can get two solid rbs for all that.
Team 1:
PPR--QB, RBx2, WRx3, TE, Superflex, Flex x2
QBs: Lawrence, Stafford, Geno, Hooker, Rush
RBs: Ekeler, Kamara, Achane, Elijah Mitchell, Dillon, Kelley, Moss, Jamaal Williams
WRs: Adams, Hopkins, Waddle, Kirk, JSN, Boyd, OBJ, Hyatt
TEs: Kelce, Hockenson, Taysom, Irv Smith

and then a few minor players and rookie stashed on taxi

If you truly believe that CEH has RB1 potential over the next 3-5 years then James Robinson shouldn't be a reason to not make the trade

I would never make this trade for a RB personally...and I’m not sold CEH is what you think he is.

But if you are set in making it James Robinson is not the reason to balk at it.

3 firsts plus a promising rookie for CEH puts him right in that top bracket of RBs in the league. I would have a hard time turning down that offer for any RB in the league personally.
Team 1: 12 team, PPR
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex

Mahomes, Lawrence
Najee, Swift, Javonte, Jamaal W, Murray
DK, DJM, Juju, Jameson, Gallup, Van
Pitts, Friermuth
1.01, 1.04, 1.11, 1.12, 3.10, 2 firsts next year

Team 2: 12 Team, SF TEP (1.5 PPR)
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex, 1 SF

Mahomes, Burrow, Cousins, Rudolph
CEH, Swift, Gibson, Jacobs, Mattison, Scott, McFarland
DK, AJB, Ridley, McLaurin, Kupp, Landry, Mims, Hamler, Miller, Johnson, Robinson
Andrews, H. Henry, Sternberger, Alie-Cox, Herndon

Same as Team 2
Watson, Burrow, Lance, Z. Wilson
Pollard, Mattison
Chase, D. Smith, Boyd, Hardman, E. Moore, Cephus, A. Rodgers, Harry, Boykin, A. Tate, Miller
Hockenson, Thomas, Albert O, Njoku
3 additional firsts

Same as Team 2
TLaw, Burrow, Watson, Darnold
CEH, Gus, Cohen
Juju, Chark, Shenault, Boyd, Landry, Renfrow, Robinson,
Engram, Kmet, Firkser, Schultz, Arnold, Herndon
5 additional firsts

Agreed. He's not going to care about Gaskin (although admittedly I think it's a bit odd that he's chasing Robinson).
