What are we doing with Parris Campbell?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What are we doing with Parris Campbell?

Postby repeatoffender115 » Thu Sep 24, 2020 3:24 pm

12 Team League, 20 player rosters, no IR spots.
Campbell is my end of bench guy and my team is stacked.
Is he worth the hold or should I go for another EOB guy?

Keelan Cole, Darnell Mooney, James Washington, Quintez Cephus are some WR highlights on waivers.

Team 3 in signature.

I would still hold long term especially with a stacked team.

Unless someone is inquiring, holding seems to be the route. Doubt he’ll bring much right now given the growing list of injuries he’s had.

At this point, he's a roster-clogger for you. You'll need that extra spot at some point for an injury fill-in or a bye week fill-in -- or simply because you have a better option on the wire. If you can get anything -- literally anything -- in a trade, then I'd do that. Otherwise, you'll miss out on far more by having that roster spot than you will gain by keeping him.

IMO, same with Hurst (I like Waller and Goedert better than Hurst).

Absolutely. I'm just suggesting that, if needed, you have another player whom you could drop.

Look, Campbell and Hurst belong on rosters in most leagues. Given your league settings, though, there will be good players who on the waiver wire. We get trapped thinking that guys SHOULD be on rosters and can't let go of them in leagues where, perhaps, they shouldn't. Campbell definitely falls into that category, and I think that Hurst does, too.

Hold. He looked like Rivers’ favorite target before going down.

This is the way.

But yea...I'd hold him over those other EOB options. Much higher upside.

He has been great everytime he has hit the field. The injuries have been flukey. He is worth the hold

I don't see why you wouldn't hold compared to the other people you mentioned on the waiver wire. You're team is stacked, you don't need a guy like Keelan cole or James Washington with virtually no upside at the end of your bench when you know they'll never start. Campbell runs a 4.3 was drafted high and has looked good when on the field. He could turn into River's next Keenan Allen out of the slot but more athletic than Allen.

Yeah I'm pretty shocked that so many suggested you drop Cambell. You have incredibly shallow starting requirements (4 total spots for RB/WR) and a loaded roster ahead of this spot. The only purpose of that said spot should be highest upside. The players on waivers seem like they have no ability to ever make your starting lineup, where Cambell looked high level when healthy.

If you had to make a drop to fill an injury hole on a bye week that would be one thing, I just don't get it here.

My question is where is your IR slot in the year of the MEGA VIRUS? Your commish has done you a bit dirty.

Quintez Cephus should be on someones taxi squad in every 12 team league, I know that much.
