Mixon offer

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Mixon offer

Postby Gator Sens » Wed Sep 23, 2020 10:46 am

I'm a serious contender with zero TE options that matter. I'm in talks with the Waller owner and the talks are around Waller + Ingram or a different piece for Mixon. Thoughts?

My starting lineup: 12 team, only have to start 1 RB. .5 PPR
Mahomes
Kamara
Ridley
A. Jones
Golladay
Godwin
O.J. Howard

So, I don't like Mixon much, and I love Waller, but I really don't like Ingram at all, so I wouldn't make that deal. What other options does he have?
12 Team Dynasty, (SF) (2pt/c TE Prem)
QB - Wentz, Heinicke, Big Ben, Fitz, Tyrod, Rudolph
RB - Henry, Kamara, CMC, R. Jones, D. Felton, P. Lindsay
WR - Ridley, Pittman, Cooks, M. Williams, MT, AJG, R. Higgins, Perriman, Shi Smith, MVS
TE - Gesicki, Engram, Uzomah, Hurst, Manhertz, Farrell

My league is absurd on TEs...no one is selling and there are zero other options to buy. I'm not crazy about the idea of moving Mixon either.

Maybe Boyd or that type piece.

You know this stuff better than I do. Personally I like Boyd more than Ingram and would probably pull the trigger on giving Mixon for Boyd and Waller.

Sample, Schultz, L Thomas, and Alie-Cox are all rostered? I'd pick up one of them instead of making this deal.

I'd grab Cox and look to move something other than Mixon for a TE if at all possible. I don't completely hate Mixon for Boyd/Waller, but definitely not for Ingram.

See I see it as Mixon is stuck on a bad team that has a rookie QB throwing 60 times a game and GIO is taking all the passing work. I would make this deal knowing you have kamara and aaron jones. AAron jones is a top 7 RB EASY. Last year RB 2 and being used just as much. I'm not a huge fan of ingram so maybe do a better WR and try to flip the WR for a mid tier RB. That is my opinion.
Thanks,
Nick

I'd keep Mixon and your roster as it is and try to stream the TE position. Consistent difference makers at TE, the ones that give you a real positional advantage are rare (Kelce, Kittle, Andrews) and giving away an elite (albeit slow starting) RB talent like Mixon for a non-elite TE is a huge overpay. Also, I don't Waller will be able to sustain his target share once the rookie WRs click better. Wouldn't do it.

All but Ali-Cox.
In that case, I'd grab Alie-Cox and roll with him for a little. If he (or somehow someone else) can provide you with even 65% of Waller's production, then that would be far better than making the Mixon trade to get Waller.

Another name to scoop up, if he's available: Kaden Smith. When Engram misses time (yup, I'm sadly predicting when and not if), you could have a playable TE if Alie-Cox proves to be a one-hit wonder.

Running backs are gold in fantasy I wouldn’t be trading one for the third most important position in fantasy. Like someone said above I’d get cox off the wire and make that work with him for as long as possible
Qb: Hurts, geno Smith
Rb: JT, Gibbs, Montgomery, Roschon, Z. White, Ty Chandler
Wr: AJB, JJ, Chase, waddle, DK, G Wilson, Palmer
TE: Pitts, Kincaid, Likely, Njoku

2024 1.01, 1.04, 1.10
10 team
9 players kept yearly
Non PPR
Not super flex
Start 1/1/2/1/2 flex
1 point per first down
All tds 6 points

I would keep mixon. If you are to trade for a te, the waller/Boyd isn't that bad....but I would prefer to stream TEs.
