Baker v Minshew

Tough call. I'm not sure either is great and/or the long term answer for their team. I feel Mayfield still has more name value, but that may be a stretch. Minshew reluctantly...

Minshew is getting replaced next year by either Lawerence or Fields. For that reason alone I think Baker sticks as a starter longer... and he has much better talent and team around him

Baker is not long for starting in this league. Horrible pocket prescence, no anticipation, terrible accuracy. You can see it in his WRs walking back to the huddle with drooped shoulders and their heads hung down because Baker missed them when they were open yet again.

He had fun upside, but I think that ship has sailed. He has the arm of Favre/Rodgers/etc but none of the rest of it.

Minshew put up just as good a rookie year as Baker did and unlike him has at least given us some hope of following through on it this year.

I'm not giving up on Baker just yet. He looked good tonight. Very accurate and his run game really opens things up for his passing game. He's a proven winner and i think has a much longer leash than Minshew. Easily Baker for me if it's dynasty.

Combine that with a rookie year that was actually better through the air than Kyler's and I don't understand what he has to do to convince people he is a franchise QB and get people to stop talking about his replacement

This would be a joke of a question if you’d asked it before week 1 and we are talking dynasty here. One week’s worth of games shouldn’t swing a player’s value up or down enough to make up the massive preseason ADP difference. It’s Baker for me.

It's not about just 1 game though. Minshew was better than Baker last year. Sure ADP is what everyone else thinks, but I'm asking for future outlook. Their arrows seem to be going in opposite directions. How long does Minshew have to play well until he passes Baker?

FWIW I'd take Baker slightly over Minshew right now also but I couldn't give you a solid reason why.

You didn't watch the actual game if you think he "tore up" the Colts. He threw for 173 yards, for the game. Did he make good decisions, yes. Was he accurate, yes. Was he explosive, no. Did he push the ball downfield, no. He was a game manager.
