Steelers RBs or Cooper Kupp

Postby joeday » Wed Sep 16, 2020 10:31 am

Just in pure value, which side in a 12 team PPR league. Cooper Kupp or the entire Steelers backfield (I think I am even including Barry Foster and Bam Morris lol)?

The backs for me. RBs are tougher to land. Snell looked good and you have him and Conner here.

Two factors push me to Kupp pretty easily:

1) I have no idea if any of the current RBs will have a meaningful role next year (I'm guessing that Snell would still be the backup); and
2) Roster spots. Granted, it make sense to only carry Conner and Snell, but that's still more roster spots.

Kupp has shown to put up elite numbers in the past (as has Conner!). I don't think it's repeatable, but he should continue to be a strong WR2 for a number of years, whereas Conner's and Snell's role are uncertain both this year and next.

I'll take Kupp.

Kupp doesn’t get the respect deserves. Last year he was wr #3 in my leagues. And the year he got hurt he was #1 when injury occurred. What else does this guy have to do?

Easy on the surface to say the RBs but I wouldn't be surprised if they're all RB3/4 this time next year. Kupp is locked end high end WR3 to me.

Kupp fairly easily for me. Who knows whether any of the Steelers RBs have value this time next year, but the Rams just signed Kupp to an extension and he's been a WR1 when healthy each of the last 2 seasons.
Team 1: 2012-2016
2013 Champion, 2012 Runner-Up

Team 2: 12 Team PPR - 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 R/W/T, 23 man rosters, est. 2016

IR(3): Chubb, M. Williams, Rodgers
Taxi(4): J. Palmer, Tolbert, T. Palmer
2024 Picks: 3, 4, 5

Team 3: 12 Team PPR, 6 pt Pass TD - 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 3 R/W/T, 28 man rosters, est. 2019

Kupp for me. He just got paid, and the Steelers backfield is a little muddy right now IMO.

Kupp by far.
Snell looked good against the hapless Giants but when the dust settles this could be a potential 4 man committee by year's end with no clear starter. Would you trade Kupp for 2 2's and 2 3's? I would not.
