Buy Hines?

TLDR: Interested in buying Hines for Team 2
Would be a depth play, hold or send future pick(s)?

Have always been a big Hines fan, just dropped the ball on getting him before a big game

I inquired and the owner said he’d be willing to sell him for draft capital, preferably 2021 but would consider 2022

I only have an early 3rd in ‘21 but all my ‘22 picks

It’s worth noting that my team is pretty strong and unless Hines can be a consistent flex play (which I believe he can), it would be hard for me to start him

I have been standing on the table for Hines all off season and even before the injury to Mack he was on the field a lot. I would ask him what 2022 pick he would want for him. I would trade a 2 for him. This is two years in a row where I was super high on a player and didn't go on a buying spree and I am kicking myself haha

That's what I thought.
Don't get me wrong, I can understand not giving him up for a 2nd that's somewhat likely to be late two years out.

But he doesn't go from being worth a 3rd to being worth a 1st and a 3rd because of one game.

This is the worst time to try and get Hines. Why should an owner sell for a two now? Of course they want more at the moment.

Agreed. Let the guy cool off for a game or two before trying to buy. Also, go in eyes wide open. Hines is thriving because of Rivers who may not be there next year. Personally, I think his arm is toast.
