Been Offered Dalvin Cook for CEH ...

Postby Payton34 » Thu Sep 10, 2020 9:06 am

I'm a fan of the "shiny new object" and like the prospect of CEH under Andy Reid. But man... Dalvin Cook... Am I overthinking this, or are there enough question marks with Cook still (Contract, Health) to reject this offer?

So I recently traded JT for Cook. It really came down to what my goal was (team #2 in signature). I wanted to push for a title this year and Cook will allow me to do that more than JT. Prior to the trade I also acquired Mattison for a 2nd. I think if you are acquiring cook, mattison is a must. First in insulates you from injury, second both of them will likely be viable in the run heavy Vikings offense, and third if cook goes somewhere else next year, you could find yourself with cook and mattison being RB1s on their teams.

Your team looks like it is all set to contend for the championship, I would make the move for Cook IF you can get mattison

Cook is the safer workload asset for a title run this year. I would try to lockup Mattison too.

I’d hold CEH. I have them projected similarly this year and still worry a bit about the question marks you listed for Cook. I’m very high on CEH in that offense.

I prefer CEH. I like JT a lot too and would trade him away for Cook if I needed the help this year... However, CEH should be fine this year

I'm holding CEH especially after his debut.

Cook has an injury history and is 25.

I'm a big fan of Cook. And I'd still hold CEH. Take the (hopefully marginal) hit in production in exchange for the youth, while also mitigating the injury risk.

Just think CEH is a better long-term asset, and he showed last night that his short-term ceiling has the potential to be just as high as Cook

The ship has sailed. Cook will have a better year this year because it’s a contract year IMO. But moving forward CEH is the next gen.
