Who to take at 2/5?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Who to take at 2/5?

Postby jman3134 » Sun Sep 06, 2020 10:34 pm

I'm leaning heavily with Jonathan Taylor at 2. Love his tape throughout college and the situation is ok. I also have pick 5 and am hoping Ceedee slips to me there, but would be disappointed and wouldn't know what to do if he was gone. Jeudy vs. Akers would be a very difficult debate internally.

Any advice?

Taylor or CEH easily unless this is SF.

Assuming it is not SF, I’d think in a 1/2 per you would go Akers or Swift assuming Dobbins was also gone. Sounds like you like Akers better than Swift.

As crazy as this sounds, I think Swift's injury concerns will help him fall to 10, where I also have a pick.

Dumped all my 1 round picks the next two years to acquire Diontae Johnson, 2020 2nd, 2020 1st (#2). Obviously more was included, but I love this draft class.

It’s def worth taking one of the other guys then, even if it’s only a small chance

I like Akers a lot, but there is no chance he is available to me at 10. I like Jeudy, but he is the number 2 this year and I am looking to win now. So I need to upgrade my starters.

I am looking to move my 10 and 12 for a vet receiver. I want to ensure I get Lamb at 5 with a 4/5 swap. Worst case I'll reach for Akers and still trade out of 10/12. My team is very good as is, but I need an elite WR1 to put me ahead of or even with the top team in the league.

Same for me, and looking at the OPs team its not like Cam Akers would be a starter for him considering his RBs so why not go with the more talented player in Jeudy? You also need WR more than RB. You also mentioned Jeudy only being the WR2 on his team, but you also said you wish Lamb would fall to you but he is the WR3 on his team.

I hope I am not kicking myself for not taking Jeudy. I was trying to trade up for Ceedee or JK, but both trades fell through last minute. I am in win now mode, and I think Jeudy is firmly the number 2, whereas I read reports Ceedee was the top receiver already. I went with Akers because I know he has immediate production. I might kick myself and wasn't happy with the pick, as I wanted those two other guys more. My trade down landed Shenault at 21, which I think is very good value late 2nd.

I traded out of 10, 12, and I moved 16 for 21. In return I acquired Julio Jones.
