This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Chubb Debate

Postby jab3120 » Sun Sep 06, 2020 12:52 pm

So this is for my team in the Sig, but I own Chubb and am worried this year more with Hunt being involved about his value. Would now be a good time to trade for a different RB or should I just hold Chubb for the long term? If trade who should I be targeting? Also heard a rumor that CLE is talking extension with Hunt.

Putting Chubb on the block and seeing what offers come might be the best way to go. His value is all over owner to owner. I would not panic sell, but worth shopping.

he's worth a shop, but I haven't heard of an extension for hunt, plus he's a free agent next year and Cleveland can't afford him and Chubb. I would hold Chubb and wait for better days ahead.

Is this still a hold or should I really start shopping now with Hunt signing for 2 more years?

Damn, I own Hunt and was hoping he would be the lead back somewhere next year. I'd also say put him out there and see what you may be able to get in return.

I would've shopped earlier. I am way lower on Chubb than most because of Hunt. His PPG when Hunt was playing was 5 PPG less than without.

Chubb is worth more than Henry, even with the extension. Should be a straight swap, imo. Add Campbell if it helps get it done.

You think so? Chubb started to under perform after Hunt started playing last year, now with the extension just has me worried also new coaches etc. Henry is the workhorse in TEN, and a top 10 back as well

I think the difference in age makes it about even. I do expect more production out of Henry for the next year or two. But there is a 2 year age gap that makes it even. Just depends on your whole team situation.

Henry and Chubb scored nearly the same last year. If you take the 2nd half of the season, where Henry normally dominates, and you see Chubb fall off with Hunt there, it was 111 to 142 in my league. That's 4 ppg. Quite a bit but I'm not sure over an entire season it will be more than 2 ppg and the 2 year age gap is a big deal. Though Henry may continue to go AP on everyone with his size and freakishness.

If it's non ppr and 10 team I'd do that if you are contending though.

Yes, NON-PPR for team in Sig, 2 year age gap is a big deal maybe I can offload him for something next offseason. Yes, I am contending

If you really want to move Chubb, then send your original offer to the Jacobs owner. You get younger and a comparable player.

Of see if you can work a trade with the Kittle owner around Chubb. Chubb + Engram for Kittle + some RB. There are deals to be made for Chubb that are better than the Henry deal.
