1.04 Start Up Draft Stratregy

I found out I'll be drafting 4th overall in a 10 team 2QB league start up. The starting rosters are: QB QB RB RB WR WR WR TE WRT WRT.

I've got a pretty clear top 4 of Mahomes, Lamar, CMC, Barkley, a slight drop to MT and then after him it's pretty flat into the second round.

I wanted to build young and for the future and write off the first year or 2 but 1.04 feels like a win a now pick that will probably be an RB. What would your strategy be if you were picking there and what would you need to sell the pick?

Was sent an offer of my 1.04, 5.04, 6.07, 10.07 for 2.05, 3.06, 4.05 and 8.05. There is also a player offering his 2021 draft class for a 6th start up pick who has already sold off his 1.05 for an extra 2nd and 4th.

I would go BPA if no solid offers come since you are looking long term. I like Jeudy and Lamb long term the most in the class.

in a 10 teamer i don't mind one of the two RBs.
also, i wouldn't do that trade for the 2nd and 3rd.
maybe willing to accept the future picks for the sixth round pick if you are somewhat unsatisfied with your draft at that point, but maybe just go for the first and a lower round start up pick.

My recommendation (and would be for the 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, or wherever) would be to take your best player available. Whether that be 10 QBs or 10 WRs. You can always make trades later.

I would take the 1st offer. It is exactly the kind of deal I like to make to acquire more picks in the top 5 rounds of a start up.

I don't hate the trade offer. But I'd probably hold and take one of your top four, whichever one drops to you.

I would probably make that trade. You should probably counter it first by asking one of the other owners pick to be a round earlier or to have one of your picks be a round later. Edit* Just saw this is a 10 team league so studs reign here. Although, from it being a 10 team league AND SF so much talent gets pushed back to the 3rd, 4th and 5th rounds.
