Monty or Fournette

Postby stockerj » Fri Aug 21, 2020 7:15 am

Sig 2

A buddy of mine really doesn’t like Fournette and asked for Montgomery. I am rebuilding but think I’m on the right track and really like the direction of my team. Would you take Lenny or keep Monty?

Give: Montgomery
Get: Fournette

Just saw now but he also added a 22 2 in addition to Fournette

I would keep Monty, your team isn't bad, but I see it as a middle - top team. So around 6 - 8 finish. Fournette might move you to 8-10 range, but not a championship. Odds are Fournette won't be near as valuable next year.

Fournette is the best asset here and as I mentioned in your other post, I think you could flip him for more in season to help your rebuild.

LF for me in a vacuum. If you're rebuilding I can see why you'd lean Montgomery based on age, but if he doesn't show something this year as the only RB in Chicago I can see him a year from now being valued the same way Royce Freeman is at the moment.

Just so I'm clear...
Perennial top 10 back Fournette - who is only down in value because the media is bored and speculating on his demise all offseason
vs
That Bears RB who disappointed last season

Maybe I'm missing something, but the value is on the Fournette side and will only increase in season.
