Team 2 in sig

Would love to hear your thoughts!

I'm considering offering this trade:

Kamara

Golladay side for me

Kamara will be fine this year but a lot of his value comes from Payton and Brees--and at least one (likely both) of those will be gone in a year

Yes Kamara is not a workhorse back in the traditional sense

He is not a guy you hand it off to 30 times to plow up the middle

He needs a between the tackles complement and relies on an offensive mind like Payton scheming quality, efficient touches for him and on Brees's pinpoint short passing accuracy to maximize YAC

I don't feel comfortable about him in the slightest one year from now with a rookie QB in Jacksonville or Chicago

I can see the argument for brees but saying he needs scheme is crazy to me. This isn’t James white we are talking about, kamara is elite, regardless of being a workhorse. Any coach will want to get him the ball in space because he’s that good in space.

For the record, I’m not even someone whos buying him at his Adp/price, I just can’t agree with saying he needs a certain coach/scheme. In my opinion elite talents don’t need a certain scheme, the scheme is made to fit their talents. Regardless of the situation the coach will want to get kamara the ball in space.

It crushes your rb depth to almost nothing. But this is WAY TOO much value to pass up. Easy accept and figure out a rb after this deal.

Don't think this trade will come close. I'm not high at all on Ridley but given that he is being valued like a WR1 going just ahead of guys like Chark, Kupp, and Sutton.... then this is essentially a top 5 WR and another WR1 for Kamara. I don't see it happening but if you can get it done and flip Ridley for a different RB.... that would be smart.

Never chimed in on the actual trade. I’ll take the package here but i think it’s closer than everyone else Seems to think. If you broke it down by startup adp I think people would respond differently.

Move OBJ now if you get a good young RB maybe one of your WR2 talents languishing on your bench for a serviceable vet RB to complete your lineup and not depend on Murray or Rojo. Do that then look to cash in on Kamara otherwise I think you just blow the whole team up when Kamara goes because Rodgers and everyone over 27 is just wasted.

As far as Kamara not being a workhorse, when Ingram was suspended he was the workhorse and he was a RB1 every week. When Bridgewater was QB he avg 75 yards a game. That is more than the final 6 games of the previous year when Ingram was playing and Brees was starting. Essentially stats say you are not correct and Kamara can be a RB1 regardless.

Kenny G side by a mile. I personally value Kenny G = Kamara alone...

I like the Golladay side as well. I am very high on both WRs, but both of these WRs are older than your typical 2 and 3 year pros at 25 and 26 years old. Ridley turns 26 in the season and Golladay will turn 27 in the season and look at what happened to Nuk and KA when they hit 27, their value decreased a ton. (I would still take the WRs and I do not agree with this decrease in value but I think it is worth mentioning)
