So a owner has several rb's, nothing too "sexy" but could be a better buy low type rb with possible upside. Which of these rb's should I look to acquire and why do you like then? Thanks for looking
DJ- is he the new L Miller and a pure volume rb
Conner- Big Ben is back, he could get back to his form from a few years ago
MGIII- he would be pricey, and I don't really like him
D Montgomery- no other real threat to touches other than Cohen, will they get better qb play, do I want 2 Bears starting on my roster?
Which rb as a rb2 should I go after?

Re: Which rb as a rb2 should I go after?
Mg3- by far the safest of the bunch but also the highest price
Conner-by far the highest upside (a lot younger than mg3 and on a team that loves a one back system) probably not a lot cheaper than Gordon
Monty-not a super high floor and also has a capped ceiling but he’s really young, imo not really worth going after as hell probably have a similar price tag as Gordon as his owner likely spent a top 4 pick on him.
DJ- likely the cheapest, main issue is his age and injuries. However if he’s healthy he’s a pretty safe bet for an rb2 type season.
For me I’d probably chase dj or Conner maybe Gordon and probably not monty but it really just depends on the price tag of all of them

Re: Which rb as a rb2 should I go after?
DJ - he misses blocking assignments, has fumble issues and is 28 this year.
Conner - Injury issues, significant production drop when he was healthy and a crowded backfield.
MGIII - Joins a comittee, a volume driven player who wont get volume, avg 3.8yd last year and hes 27.
Monty - 3.7 yds, lacks long speed or violent burst.
Those are the common knocks on all those guys. I think only 1 of them has long term upside and that is Monty. I dug into some Monty Metrics and some surprises pop out. Monty had as many broken tackles as Jacobs. He had 20 touches in only 3 games last year and only started in 8. The 2 games he had 65%+ of the bears snap count in a game? he was RB7 for that week. The bears were historically bad and if you can get Monty cheap easily the best option IMO. He should have no problems giving you high RB2 numbers.

I think Montgomery makes the biggest jump and has youth on his side. He would be my choice followed by Johnson due to potential upside and lack of competition.

Re: Which rb as a rb2 should I go after?
Melvin Gordon sucks and has a better back on his team
DJ sucks but will get volume
Conner is good but injuries and uncertainty for 2021 and beyond
So that leaves Montgomery--who I don't think is very good but would still be my pick due to volume

Re: Which rb as a rb2 should I go after?
DJ for me. All are basically volume plays with the exception of Cohen. So I’d rather have the guy that is going to get fed to make up for a terrible trade by BOB. Ntm he’s the cheapest has the best QB which “should” correlate with increased red zone touches

Monty or DJ. Would depend on the price and your build. Are you competing or looking to build to compete in the future. DJ if you are looking to contend this year, and Monty obviously if looking to the future.
