Trade Bell for Kirk

Trade Bell for Kirk

Postby papageo8 » Fri Jul 10, 2020 5:35 am

I've been offered this and every part of me tells me to reject but I think the fantasy community would disagree.

My feelings with Bell is he has had all the negativity priced into him, whilst kirk is about the right price.

On the flip side I really like kirk, he's young and I'm actually thrilled he has an elite wr along side in him in hopkins. Hopkins will get double coverage which will help kirk.

Bell is 28, playing under Gase who hates him. OL has improved but will that help?

Appreciate peoples thoughts on this.

League is s/f, ppr 10 teams, 3 flex and 1 s/f

Core
Qb stafford, rodgers, lock
Rb chubb, Carson, bell
Wr obj, kupp
Te waller

Flex
Foles, Sony, Cohen, marvin Jones, cobb, watkins, renfrow

Rookies
Jeudy
Dobbins

Outliers
Freeman, Bernard, Josh Gordan, Bourne, Sims, Meyers

Then a whole load of late rd dart rookies

Seems lite for bell given current situations. I own Kirk and would love to trade him for bell, but there’s no way the owner in my league would accept that offer

Seems a bit light but I can see it both ways. If you are contending, I would hold Bell.

I don't think the value is awful, but I'm not as high on Kirk as others. Do you expect your team to contend at all? If so, I'd easily hold Bell here. If not, I'd try to get something on top of Kirk. I value Bell higher than Kirk.

Honest answer guys I'm sort of contending.
One guy in my division has traded all his next 3 year picks to amass a team no one can challenge.
However I have a shot at 2nd in my division so 50/50 on that really.

So I could make the playoffs but winning it will be a different matter.

I'm inclined to rebuild but flip side is I'm not a tanker and like to give each szn a shot. If u make the playoffs anything can happen.

My honest opinion looking at your build in a 10 team league (dont know other teams) you look to be a fringe playoff team at best. i would prefer to trade Bell for picks.. might also look to move Carson and some of your bench players.

other teams have to have better RBs than Mixon/Carson/Bell and better duo Wrs than OBJ/Kupp, also Waller probably regresses this season.

Yeah I think players for picks is a better option
Thanks for your advice.
You are right most teams have a 1st rd rb whilst I really really rate chubb, hunt hurts his upside.

I'm holding Bell here, it appears that your team can contend so I'd want a quality rb who is still a starter. DHop is in Arizona, Fitz will still get his looks, it appears Kirk looks decent going forward, but I'd want more back for Bell.

I am a Bell seller but not for Kirk. I actually don't think he is going to be more than a WR2 in AZ and probably a WR3 in fantasy for life. Hold here but I would surely keep shopping him.

Regardless of your direction you can probably get more for Bell in season once injuries start to pile up for contending teams. Sure, Bell is viewed negatively by most right now, but there is no one in NY who is taking significant volume away from him, and that's what contending teams are looking for during a title run.
