While I wouldn't blow it up, @yellowdart2448, I'm actually with you on looking to move some or all of Zeke, Karmara, and Hopkins.yellowdart2448 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 6:52 pm Thanks for the responses. I think I have more rookie fever right now and wanting to acquire young players. I don’t want to miss the value before Zeke and Kamara fall off the cliff and think Edwards and Taylor will be studs. I think this is for sure Hopkins highest value left in his career. Maybe I’ll wait and see how the season goes, see if I can solve my second quarterback issue, and possibly get some trades going on for next year if I’m struggling
Your starting lineup is quite strong, but I'd be concerned about your ability to sustain championship-level play throughout the season. First, EVERY one of your studs has to play like a stud. Second, you can't have any meaningful injuries. And, third, the player that you draft or acquire with 1.07 has to be good enough to fill your 2nd QB slot. I just don't see all those happening. I'm guessing you don't, either, which is why you were looking to capitalize on Zeke, Kamara, and Hopkins.
I also agree that those three players' value are extraordinarily high right now and could drop within a year. So this is actually a great time to cash out on them (maybe Jackson, too??). But the return that you're suggesting is FAR too low.
Maybe you can get Kupp + 1.02 for one of those players? Something like that. A top-end talent along with a top draft pick should allow you to remain competitive while alleviating the concerns listed above. I'd look for trades like that.
Bottom line, though, I think that you are forward-thinking here by looking to move some or all of Zeke, Kamara, and Hopkins (and, again, maybe Jackson!!) right now. Your team has a lot of high-end talent but probably not quite enough muscle or depth to weather a full season and win a 'ship.
