Would this offer make sense ??

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Would this offer make sense ??

Postby Gatorguy7275 » Wed Jul 01, 2020 7:52 am

I'm thinking of offering Kupp + 1.02 for Metcalf + 1.04 + 2.05 if I can get that too. I'd offer it only if CEH is gone at 1.01, & I'm on the clock.
This could also be viewed as which pair: JT + Kupp, or Metcalf + Swift/Dobbins ? I think Metcalf is ready to go to the next level while Kupp is 27 this season, has the injury hx, & might not be in LA next year. I'd like to sell him high. The more difficult issue is at RB & JT will almost certainly be the clear #1 in Indy by mid-season, but can he be a 3 down RB ? That isn't an issue for Swift/Dobbins.
I also have the 2.02, 2.04, 3.03 & 4.03 & I might also try to flip 2-3 of those picks to try to snag another 2020 1st.

Your thoughts are appreciated & please be safe.

If this ends up being an option, I would take the Metcalf side. Kupp is underrated on the market, so I doubt this will be an option, but a nice deal if it is.

Metcalf side slightly. I really like Dobbins though.

x2. Kupp is being drafted WR17. I think a lot of people forgot he finished WR5 last year because of how poor his second half was.

Can you find out what the owner of the 1.1 pick is taking? Just ask him, hey am I getting CEH or JT at 2? I'm just not as sure that Swift / Dobbins are clear cut 3 down rbs. Swift still had KJ to contend with touches. KJ has been effective, but unable to stay healthy. Dobbins has a very crowded backfield to contend with. I like Dobbins long term potential in Balt, but it may have to wait until 2021 if / when Ingram is gone. I still like the deal for you if you can add another 2nd it allows you flexibility to move up in the draft or like you said to add another 1st in 2021.
