Aaron Jones trade *updated*

I have a chance to trade a late 2021 1st to a complete rebuild team for Aaron Jones in a 12 team, 1 QB .5 ppr league. I have solid depth and I'm definitely a contender. Im not real high on Jones but he could help my build. Thoughts?

My main players: have to start 1 RB, 1 WR and three flex.

QB: Mahomes, Allen
RB: Kamara, Mixon and Guice
WR: Godwin, Golladay, Ridley, Jeudy, Lamb, Williams, Kirk
TE: Thomas, Howard...trying to add here too

I would make the trade. I’m not super high on Jones either, especially beyond this year, but it’s still good value and he’d be a flex starter on your team.

I'm torn here, first you have two solid rbs, two solid wrs, but you need 1 more top player. Does Ridley, Juedy, Lamb fit the bill? So if you go for it now your only trade bait in season is Juedy and Lamb. I may hold off now, see what happens with the young wr's and if Guice may finally pan out. I'd look after 4-6 weeks in and then look to make a move.

I would give a early 1st for Jones , I think he is one of the best RBs in the league. He just went 26th in my SF startup last month

Easily Jones here. A late first is a small price to pay especially if mixon decides to hold out

Smash accept. Cheap price for Jones, especially if competing. I think he helps you contend for sure.

I am not a fan of Jones. That being said, I would make that trade and get him at that price in a snap.

That is way cheaper than I've been seeing him go for. I'd be taking that deal, and if you're really not high on him, sell him for more than you gave..

I say do it. I think Jones has at least 1 more good year, but there are no guarantees beyond that, since the signs seem to indicate that he won't get a 2nd contract in GB. Plus, he'll be 26 in Dec., & as an article on this site detailed, RBs > 25 begin their inevitable decline. The big ? for him is what happens if there's no season this year or if it starts, then (perish the thought !) is cancelled. You must decide if that's a risk you are willing to take. Hopefully, there will be a season & he'll perform.

Yes. Don’t expect 19 TDs again, but he should be the RB1 mix this year. Your team is competitive, so I look at this as a no brainer.

The trade has now morphed into:

Option #1 - the same late 2021 1st + Kirk for Aaron Jones

Or

Option #2 - the same late 2021 1st + a likely late 2021 2nd + Mike Williams for Aaron Jones

I still like both Williams and Kirk. Thoughts?
