Rookie draft advice

Postby FFBaller » Fri Jun 26, 2020 7:54 am

Loyal pod listener, thanks for all the great advice. Dynasty rookie superflex 0.5 PPR draft question.

I have 1.01 and 1.03. I need a QB and RB. Which is better: Burrow 1.01 and J Taylor 1.03, or CEH 1.01 and Tua 1.03?

Two pieces of context.
1) I lean CEH vs J Taylor due to Andy Reid system and that this is half pt ppr 2) If I draft CEH #1, there's a 50% chance Burrow falls to me at 1.03 since 1.02 definitely needs RB help

What would you do?

Would be helpful to know a little more, like how many teams are in the league, and your roster, but with what we know:

This is not close for me. Burrow at 1.01, and then Taylor/CEH at 1.03.

Thank you both.

On your question it's a 12 team league. I traded quite a bit to get the 1.01 and 1.03. My remaining QBs are Daniel Jones and Jimmy G. And my top RBs left are Chris Carson, Darrell Henderson and Raheem Mostert.

Taylor doesn't worry either of you with the lack of receptions in a 0.5PPR league vs CEH? I'm pretty sure if I take Burrow the 1.02 will take CEH. But the epic outcome would be I take CEH and the 1.02 takes Taylor and then I still get Burrow. I don't think he's a burrow guy, but he could be blowing smoke

I would not risk it at all. Burrow is BPA here in a 12 team SF. CEH/Taylor are close enough for me that I'm fine with whichever one lands to me at 1.03. I think there's a bigger gap between Burrow and Tua than CEH/Taylor. I'm not worried about receptions in a half point PPR.

You just have to go with what you believe here. If you trust CEH over Taylor no one can truly fault you for it. Making the gamble to go CEH and hope Burrow is at 3 is really league specific and personal. No one here knows your league like you do and if you feel it has a high chance of playing that way then go for it. Your consolation of failure is what? You have to draft Taylor and CEH? tragic. You dont NEED Burrow and college is college. I personally prefer CEH over Taylor because I trust Andy Reid, if he thought CEH was the player he needed on his team and its the best offense in football then I am gonna own that if I can.

This one's super easy to me....CEH and Burrow/Tua at 1.03. I'd actually lean Tua (probably not popular opinion here) considering you have 2 good QBs already. Jones will be a QB1 in the not so distant future i feel. Tua's floor is much lower than Burrows' but his ceiling is much higher imho. I personally would not want to miss out on CEH. It may work out exactly as you think also if the 1.02 guy takes a RB. If that happens you get your best RB and your best QB. Good luck!

As luck would have it, I took Burrow at 1.01 and the 1.02 took Tua. So, I ended up getting CEH too. Thanks all
