Kupp v MGIII +

Our rookie draft is next week and I know for certain that Burrow, CEH and JT will go 1-3, and I have pick 4. If I am going to take Tua, I'd want to upgrade my RB depth a bit. So, I was offered MelvinG + Breida + JHoward for Kupp. I don't love Breida or Howard, but they should offer decent flex appeal in good matchups if ever needed.

The guy also have Phillip Lindsay, should I be focussing more on landing him to handcuff instead of the Phins duo? Or do I just stay WR strong?

I know with Brees as a starter and Tannehill my top backup that I could use another furture QB star, but would you pass up Tua to land JKD or Swift instead at 1.4?

12tm PPR, Superflex Dynasty: QB - RB - RB - WR - WR - WR - TE - FLX - OP

QB: Drew Brees, Matt Ryan, Ryan Tannehill, Marcus Mariota
RB: Christian McCaffrey, Joe Mixon, Lamar Miller, AP, CThomp
WR: Kenny Golladay, AJ Brown, Cooper Kupp, Michael Gallup, AJ Green, SSims Jr.
TE: Zach Ertz, Jared Cook, Ian Thomas, Tyler Eifert

Picks: 1.4 - 3.4

1. I'd wait until the 1.04 is on the clock. You never know for sure, one of CEH/Taylor could potentially drop to you.
2. I'd also wait until the pick is on the clock, because it looks like your team is competitive, and if that is the case, then I'd look at trading the 1.04 for an already established RB that would help put your team over the top. But this is only if you are a top contender.
3. If one of CEH/Taylor does not drop to you, and you can't move the pick for a RB, then BPA is Tua, and I think he's the right call based on your team. I'd take him over Swift and Dobbins.
4. In a start 3WR league, I don't know that you have the depth to be moving Kupp. And I'd want a better piece than Howard/Breida added onto Gordon myself.
5. I'd look at moving your second for some RB depth, maybe someone like Mostert, instead of trading away a starting WR for one.

Tough call here. I think the Miami duo is solid RB3 depth, but I also feel you need Kupp for your wr core. I would probably hold for now and stick with Kupp.

Wait, wait, wait: So you're giving up a starting WR (and a more valuable asset) for RB depth? And taking on two additional players to clog up your roster? Not for me.

Kupp.

Melvin Gordon sucks. I’d target a different RB

Agreed.

And based on starting requirements I would easily take Kupp here too. You are trading an every week starter to fill depth. You would go from Kupp + SF...to AJG + SF. I would stick with what you have and take Tua.

Unless, as mentioned above, someone offers you a for sure starter when the 1.04 is on the clock.

Kupp here. I'm also holding and seeing how the draft plays out and then possibly moving the pick. But if Tua is there is could be a great addition to your roster which really needs a high end young qb.
