Trade offer for Darnold

Being offered a 3rd rounder for Darnold (likely end of the 3rd round), would you take it?

10 person league, half PPR. Current QBs are:

Ryan, Burrow, Lock, Darnold and Minshew

Obviously don't need all of them, but is a 3rd rounder good enough value?

I would probably hold to see if he emerges as your best QB Option... at the end there isnt much value for these QBs in a 1 QB league, but there also isnt any for a late 3rd when you need to be starting studs.

The value is fair based on the format, but I would want a bit more.

I don’t know that I’d take a 3rd just because another owner knows I can’t start them all. I’d look to see if Darnold could be a throw in on a trade with this guy to upgrade at another position.

I agree that a late third is light. But there's a basic economics problem here: you are decreasing the supply of QBs in a market where this is low demand. Put another way: you'll never get market value for any QB other than a top-end QB. There will come a point where you'll have to change your mindset of so-and-so-is-too-good-to-be-on-the-waiver-wire or so-and-so-is-worth-more.

That being said, feel free to hang on to Darnold since he could definitely jump tiers. Maybe Lock is the trade asset, since someone might think that he is about to break out? Maybe go for, say, a 2nd in 2021 or 2022? Otherwise, see if you can get, say, a future 2nd for Darnold. You might have to take the delayed payday to make a QB trade worthwhile.

I'd hold Darnold if thats the price, I'd def trade Minshew for that late 3rd.

I’m a big darnold supporter in SF but he doesn’t have much value in a 10 team single qb. If you like him to make a big jump hold, but the offer seems fair.
