Hakeem Butler

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Hakeem Butler

Postby wickerkat1212 » Thu Jun 18, 2020 4:58 pm

So, anybody still holding Hakeem Butler? Obviously Hopkins coming to ARI doesn't help his chances of being the #3. Fitz is somehow still around and playing well, and Kirk seems to be the main #3 (and slot). Not to mention Isabella and KeeSean.

End of the bench?
Let him go?
Pick him up later?
Seems buried now.
He's only 24.

Thoughts?

If you have the room, I would stash him.

He’s a stash for me. We don’t know much about him at the NFL level, but I loved him as a prospect. He gets to learn from two hall of fame WRs, and is tied to a great QB. As long as he stays on AZ’s roster, he is a major upside, low cost gamble.

No interest. If you have large rosters and it's not costing you anything to keep him, then why not, but I'm not a fan.

I'd be a holder here.
"Marathon Square" - 16 team full PPR league with 24 player roster. Keep 16 per year indefinitely, draft 8. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Team DST
QB: Jordan Love, Deshaun Watson
RB: Travis Etienne, Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, Kendre Miller, Jaleel McLaughlin, Sean Tucker, Deuce Vaughn
WR: A.J. Brown, Garrett Wilson, Tee Higgins, Calvin Ridley, Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne, Tutu Atwell, Allen Lazard, Isaiah Hodgins, Justin Shorter
TE: T.J. Hockenson, Cole Kmet, Kylen Granson
K: Didn't make the playoffs in 2023  , and don't usually hold one in the offseason
Team DST: Cowboys, Lions

Picks:
2024: All my picks except 3rd rounder

Disclaimer: My one and only Championship in this league was way back in 2011. Therefore, take my replies with the appropriate grain of salt.

I wouldn't go out of my way to stash him if there was a better option on waivers. If you plan on dropping him I'd at least try and get a 4th for him before dropping. Someone will take him.
Team 1:
PPR--QB, RBx2, WRx3, TE, Superflex, Flex x2
QBs: Lawrence, Stafford, Geno, Hooker, Rush
RBs: Ekeler, Kamara, Achane, Elijah Mitchell, Dillon, Kelley, Moss, Jamaal Williams
WRs: Adams, Hopkins, Waddle, Kirk, JSN, Boyd, OBJ, Hyatt
TEs: Kelce, Hockenson, Taysom, Irv Smith

and then a few minor players and rookie stashed on taxi
