Attempting to trade for Ridley in team 1

How does this sound as an opening offer:

Give: 1.6 and 3.4
Get: Ridley

Wouldn't do that. I prefer the Big 5/Lamb/Jefferson to Ridley.

Very, very highly doubt that's close in a 1QB format. Don't think a single mid 1st is going to be very attractive for an ascending young WR with a lot of offseason hype

I would take Ridley if this ends up being an option.

Two very differing opinions, one says it won't be enough while the other says they wouldn't do it.

As a Ridley owner, it's an easy pass.

If you put up a poll I'm certain most everyone would take the Ridley side

That was what I thought. I am not sure what else to add because my team is very top heavy.

I think it really depends what the Ridley owner needs. If he needs an RB and thinks one of the top 5 fall then this is a far offer. I think Lamb or Jeudy for Ridley is a lateral move so if I am him I almost wait until the pick is OTC.

I’ve sniffed around Ridley in a few leagues and haven’t found an owner that’s not drunk on the hype Kool-Aid. All want at least early 1st value, some have not been willing to sell even for the 1.01.

This is one of those trades where I wouldn't move Ridley for that, but also wouldn't pay that for him. I like Ridley just fine, but I think the hype is a little too much for me right now. Overall, seems pretty fair though.

I think this sums it up. His value is in or around the top 5 so it would really depend what the Ridley owner needs.

I wouldn't buy Ridley when I have the opportunity to grab Jeudy or Lamb. I appreciate that Ridley has shown how good he can be, but he is being hyped up this off-season when the offense is almost exactly the same as last year - Julio is still there another 3/4 years as well. I'm taking the guy 4 years younger and the extra draft pick.

If Ridley was in the 2020 draft I think he would be a top 4 pick so asking for 1.04+ does not seem crazy. The worst you can say is can he do it without Julio? I don't think its anywhere crazy to see a Marvin Harrison to Reggie Wayne tipover happen in the near future. Sometimes the hype is true.

There are a ton less questions about his ability to play in the NFL than any rookie. So if you are bolstering a competitive roster you pay up for the sure thing over any of them. Ceede and Jeudy MAY be something Ridley IS something. That said if you are loading up to make that competitive team still you take as many shots in the draft at young players as you can and you don't pay for a Ridley.

Ridley gets the same hype every off season. I absolutely do not doubt he is a fantastic player. If Ridley were in the 2020 draft, I still wouldn't take him over any of the RBs, and I would value him very closely to Lamb, Jeudy and maybe Jefferson. Drafting isn't an exact science, though I'm still taking the guy 4 years younger, unless it is KEY to being a contender.
