I send Stills and VanderEsch, and 2022 1st
get Mattison and Dre Greenlaw.

I am thinking no, but if Cook does sign a deal and gets dealt, I get 2 nice starters.

The 1st seems steep but is 2 years away (and 3 drafts away) for us.

It also clears some cap space by sending Stills.

It's June. The probabilities are in your favour. Cook is most likely going to play, IMO. Don't worry about it at this point. Guy is trying to prey on a perceived situation of value increases to Mattison. Until Cook starts missing games, Mattison is worth exactly the same as he was a week ago to me.

To be a bit contrarian I'm not as certain it feels that steep. A pick loses value the further the years it's out. Current 2nds get bought for future 1sts all the time, which is where I would value Mattison. A 1st 2 years away would be lucky to fetch a current 2nd. Plenty of time to make up the pick.

Dont think it's that steep for some peice of mind

I don't think you pay up at absolutely top value for Cook. Obviously you should have handcuffed him but overpaying now fixes a mistake with a mistake.
