That was my thinking. I actually traded Julio away to him after week 3 last year. I got Chark plus two 1sts.

Now between the age difference, the output, and the fact that I dont need Julio makes me lean towards keeping Chark. At least not trading him for Julio. I think I'd do it for Brown and a 1st.

I am digging that roster, talented and primarily young with tons of big potential on the bench. At no point should you trade for an aging star with that much less Julio who doesn't help you win a championship now. If he wants Chark and isn't just trying to dump Julio tap him for a young RB2 straight up. Something you actually need.

Some of my guys are going to have to go. It's a contract league and I'm too far over. But it will be guys like Meyers, Tate, Johnson, probably Smith and Ebron too.

I like my TEs, QB room looks better with Tua. And I love my WRs. My issue is my RBs and this all started because he wanted to trade me Mixon. That fell through because he wants Thomas and Henry in return for Mixon and Jones (something I had no hesitation in telling him no to).

Wish I could get a deal done for Mixon, but i might try targeting Drake or someone similar. Also attempting to take some of this depth (Brown, Slayton, Kirk, and Woods) and creating a package for an upgraded WR.

I'm holding Chark here. I like Julio and he has been a complete stud for a long time, but he seems to be always banged up and I can see him hitting the wall quick. I'll keep the pick and high upside youth here.

Yeah, I declined it. I told him it wasn't worth it. If he sent Julio for Chark straight up, I would accept it. I get a short term upgrade, he gets youth. But the extra 2 points per week isn't worth giving up the 1st.

At this point in their careers I would not trade Chark for Julio. The JJ side would be the one needing to add.

^This at bare minimum.

Jay Gruden doesn't heavily target one WR based on his historical usage. Highly doubt Chark gets the volume that is needed to bump him into that upper tier. NTM he has more competition for targets with Laviska in Jax now.

So even though, Chark has youth on his side, I think Julio will be a far more productive fantasy asset for the next 2-3yrs. Which is a longer period of time in Dynasty than most would like to admit. Also, this is Julio's best season opportunity wise in yrs, it wouldn't be shocking for him to lead the league in terms of targets (think 2018 or 2015 Julio level).

Getting a 1st on top is nice, sure, but it's two years away. I know rookie fever is still hanging around, but the hit rate on firsts is about 50% at best. So a worse starter in Chark and a 50/50 shot at a startable asset two yrs from now doesn't seem all that appealing (not all 1sts end up being top tier).

I would need a 2021 2nd added, or a better return than Chark to move Julio.

So it's a good price for Julio imo.

*with your roster, I would make the deal and push for a championship this season. Lots of your pieces have uncertainty after this season: Will Henry be back in Tenn? Brees is leaving Thomas, will he be the fantasy force without him? Will Gurley be back in a good situation like Atlanta next season? Woods contract is up next season, how many more seasons can Cooks play with his concussion history?

I would make a big push this yr, and Chark + 2022 1st isn't a ton to pay imo.

I would look more into Gurley, Allen, Woods, Cook to a contender with RB depth and maybe some picks. Everyone but Allen has a short shelf life but potentially big year this year. Getting a young RB, even RB2 level and pick works for me. I think you need a year or 2 and Brown, Kirk and Slayton are young upside so I hold them. Like any NFL team facing down the cap trade those aging vets that can get ya picks and reload.
