trade 1.05?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

trade 1.05?

Postby dcr1984 » Sat May 30, 2020 9:58 am

For Team 1 (10 team):

Give:
1.05, 1.09

Receive:
Julio, Mclaurin, 2.05, 2021 2nd (probably late but you never know)

Hate to give up two 2020 firsts but seems like good value to improve my WRs.
Team 1: (20 man rosters)
10 team, negative 0.1 pt per pass, rush, reception. (1 QB / 2 RB / 3 WR / 1 TE / 1 K / 1 DEF)

QB: Jackson, Geno
RB: McCaffrey, Mixon, Ekeler, Foreman, Patterson
WR: Hill, Wilson, Deebo, Allen, Jeudy, Meyers, Zay Jones, OBJ
TE: Hockenson
K: Dicker
Def: SF, Phi, Dallas

2023: 1.07

Team 2: (18 man rosters)
10 team, 0.5 PPR, 6 pt passing TD (1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 WR/RB, 1 TE, K, Def)

Qb: Jackson, Cousins, Lance
RB: Taylor, Fournette, Gibson, Patterson, Gaskin, Elijah Mitchell
WR: Jefferson, AJ Brown, DJM, Lamb, Rondale Moore
TE: Kelce
Def: Cin

Team 3:
12 Team PPR SF/1.5 TE Premium (QB-2RB-3WR-2RB/WR/TE flex, 1 superflex)
QB: Jackson, Prescott, Lawrence
RB: Taylor, Swift, Henry, Hall, Patterson, Wilson, Burkhead, Ingram
WR: Adams, Lamb, A-Rob, JuJu, Calloway, Berrios,
TE: Kittle, Gesicki, Gronk, McBride, Hurst, Jonnu

I would hold long term. Jones will start to slow down.

Why don't you draft two WRs with those picks instead since this is such a deep draft class. CD/Jeudy at 1.05 and Reagor/Justin Jefferson if there at 1.09. I'd much rather do that than trade for Julio right now.

That's probably what I would do. Was just thinking maybe 9 vs 15 isn't that big a difference in which case 1.05 for Julio, Mclaurin and a 2021 2nd might be decent.

If you feel you're contending, obviously the Julio side. If you're not really sure you will this year, then stick to the young guys.

I do think I am a contender this year. I rarely have early picks so it’s hard to pass up the chance to get a young potential stud at 1.5 but I think Julio/mclaurin would soften that blow.

Tough one. I'd probably take the trade. Julio probably has 2-3 more good years left.

I would EASILY accept this deal.

Say that Julio has three big seasons left. Whomever you pick at 1.05 could certainly end up with more -- or fewer. Three is a good over/under, so that seems fair for a playoff-contending team.

I'm lower on McLaurin than most, but 1.09 is certainly around where he should go (it's actually probably too low). Unlike every player in this year's draft, he has proven that he can achieve at the NFL level.

In other words, Julio = 1.05 (for a competing team).
McLaurin => 1.09.
Two seconds are a bonus.

I would definitely accept this trade.

I'd goto war with the existing roster and use my picks in this draft. The 21 class 2nd rounders wont look anything like this years 2nd rounders.

or maybe they will...

julio ~ 1.05 (can't see him getting less than 4000 yards in the next three seasons)
mclaurin > 1.09 (terrible team, rookie QB, 900 yards in 14 games as a rookie, open a lot, clear cut WR1 in his team)
2.05 is someone like higgins/pittman/mims, and you get an extra second next season.

this offer screams rookie fever, accept it!

I am on the Julio side as well if contending. I don't want to rely on mid-1st-round rookies on my team and Julio is locked in as a WR1 for the immediate future. Terry is > 1.09 as well. I have no problem paying this kind of price for pieces that can put you over the top, just be aware that Julio will likely retire on your bench haha
