What to do at 1.2?

Postby KJD5154 » Sat May 23, 2020 8:10 am

My draft is next Saturday so I am trying to strategize.

Burrow is certainly going 1.1. With my QB and RB situation, do I go with Tua or CEH?

QBs: Lamar Jackson, Stafford, Carr
RBs: Montgomery, Mack, Guice, D. Henderson, L. Murray, Hines, D. Harris, McCoy

I suppose trading out would be a possibility but I'm not sure how likely it is. There is an owner than has 1.8, 1.9, 2.5, and 2.11 but he hasn't come with any trades that made me think about moving 1.2.
TEAM 1
Superflex. 1/2 PPR. No TE position.
QB: Burrow, Herbert , Murray, Young
RB: Barkley, James Cook, Achane, Brian Robinson, Spears
WR/TE: Lamb, Higgins, Godwin, Amon-Ra St Brown, Jayden Reed, G. Wilson, C. Olave, Zay Flowers, T. Boyd
K: Gay
DEF: Seahawks
2024 Picks: 2.01, 2.04, 2.08, 5.04

TEAM 2
Superflex. 1/2 PPR. No TE position, no K, no DEF.
QB: Kyler, Trevor Lawrence, Deshaun Watson, J. Stidham
RB: Bijan, JT, Kenneth Walker, Breece Hall, Allgeier, Elijah Mitchell, Isaiah Spiller
WR/TE: AJ Brown, Aiyuk, Nico Collins, Garrett Wilson, Pickens, Godwin, R. Rice, AT Perry, D. Wicks
2024 Picks: 2.04, 2.08, 2.11, 3.12, 4.11

If you are unable to trade back for good value, I would go Tua and deal with your RBs later. It does not look like you are an out and out contender, so pairing Jackson and Tua long term could be very lucrative.

Trading down is a good idea but I would need to get the 1.03 or 1.04. If not, I’d take Tua.

I’d take CEH in a vacuum and especially with your RB situation

Got an offer of 1.9, 2.11, and 2021 1st for my 1.2

Meh. Probably wouldn't do it if he offer his 1.8, 2.5, and 2021 1st.

I think I need both of his 1s and 1 next year to consider it

Didn't. he said the two 1s are too much. So Tua or CEH to me then.

On another note, I have an offer on the table of 2.2 and Darrell Henderson for Tyler Boyd. Owner says it depends on who is there at 2.2.

CEH is going multiple rds earlier in the SF start-ups I’ve seen and taken part in. Easily CEH. I’d also go JT over Tua. I just took part in a SF 12 team ppr rookie draft and the first 4 picks were

CEH
Taylor
Burrow
Tua .

CEH, easily. I don't believe Tua can be a top 5 QB, with almost no rushing upside. CEH will net you immediate value increase, almost certainly. By week 8 CEH could get you Tua plus, almost certainly. Have to go CEH, IMO, or you are throwing away value.

Even in Superflex? I love the idea of Tua and Lamar Jackson for the future. I think I'm okay having Stafford or Carr as my QB2.

I COULD use CEH to help solidify my RBs though.

Such a good problem to have here lol

I'm taking Tua here. His upside far outweighs the injury risk. Remember a year ago it was "Tank for Tua", I'd take him and look to move either Stafford or Carr if possible. I do think CEH will be big in Reid's offense, but in a superflex if your set at qb in the next draft or two you should be able to land a rb / wr with them sliding due to qb's going early. Good luck.
I'd see if you can move your 2.2 along with Carr / Stafford for a mid / late first this year and grab a wr / rb if possible.

The RBs are going ahead of burrow I’m startups, never mind tua. I wouldn’t argue heavily against tua but I’d take ceh and Taylor over him personally.

I’d take Taylor over both of them fairly easily.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

WR: Nuk, Godwin, Cooper, Lockett, Flowers, Chark, Collins, Hollins, Tillman, Tolbert

Taxi: Willis, Z. White, M. Mims, T. Palmer

Hull Awaits
$450 cap, 60 contract years

QB: Lawrence $5/3, Richardson $5/5, Minshew $1/0, Jones $1/0, Heinicke $1/0, Tyrod $1/0
RB: Achane $4/4, Warren $2/4, Roschon $7/5, Dillon $4/1, Hubbard $2/1, Kelley $1/0
WR: Nuk $78/1, MT $25/1, M. Williams $1/0, JSN $21/5, Reed $4/5, Rice $4/5, M. Wilson $2/5
