Roster Outlook Post Draft

Postby EC1417 » Wed May 20, 2020 9:41 am

Finally finished our rookie draft in our 12 team, .5 PPR league. I picked up an orphan team and blew it up this past spring. Here is my draft and what current roster. Hoping to get some opinions on it and where to go from here.

Draft:

1.1 - CEH
1.4 - Swift
1.11 - Tee Higgins
2.1 - Michael Pittman
2.5 - Bryan Edwards
2.8 - Antonio Gibson
4.1 - Preston Williams

Current Roster:

QB - Lamar, Darnold
RB - CEH, Ekeler, Swift, Hines, Gibson
WR - AJ Brown, Sutton, Edelman, Diontae Johnson, Preston Williams, Marvin Jones, Mecole Hardman, Tee Higgins, Michael Pittman, Bryan Edwards
TE - Mark Andrews
DST - Patriots
K - Zane Gonzalez

2021 Draft Picks:
1st - 2x
2nd - 3x
3rd - 2x

What should my next moves be? What do you think about the current roster and the outlook for my team?

Thanks!

I echo the sell on Edleman and Jones. I think if i were you i would try to use draft capital to get better at WR. AJB and Sutton are studs.. but i think you need to add one more and then let it play out.

It’s funny, our rosters have a lot in common and I find myself asking the same question in where to go from here. But looking at it as someone else’s roster I like it a lot and it’s getting to the “wait and see” point.
Tons of young talent, honestly I think you may need 1 more stud back and I’d be happy. RB/QB/TE is/will be your strength and that’ll get you to the title eventually. WR are definitely good and deep but not ELITE yet, though that can change with positive careers of Higgins and Pittman.
I think you should wait and see how the season plays out, see how these rookies play in the big leagues then if all goes well and they hit, you swing for the fences in 2021 by dealing one or both of your firsts and seconds plus Eldelman, Jones, etc. for 1 or 2 top 3-5 RB/WR and make the title push.

TE: Hock, Dulcich

2024 Picks: 5 2024 1sts, my own picks in rounds 3-10

I really like your draft and young build. I would shop your aging vets and stay young.
