Who to draft 1.01&1.02 in a SF?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Who to draft 1.01&1.02 in a SF?

Postby grooner » Fri May 15, 2020 8:17 am

In a 12 team superflex league that starts QRRWWWTFS and I have the 1.01/1.02/1.10/2.10.

My team is:
QB - Prescott, Brady, Minshew
RB - Morstert, R.Jones, Freeman, L. Murray, C. Thompson, B. Hill
WR - M. Thomas, Godwin, Hill, Hilton, Harry, Randoms
TE - Higbee, Everett, Graham, Herndon, Kayden

I need help at both QB and RB. The 1.03/1.04 need big help at QB so I tried trading down, but the best offer I got was 1.02+1.10 for 1.04+1.08, which I won't do. Tried 1.02 for 1.04+2.05, but no dice.

I am taking Burrow at 1, but not sure who to go with at 2? Tua or CEH?

I will continue to try to trade down, but not sure it will happen.

Either is fine, but why not at least consider the 1.02/1.10 for 1.04/1.08 deal? It’s not fair value, but you’re still getting a top tier player in whoever is left of Tua/CEH/Taylor at 4, plus getting to move up to 8 which gives you a good shot at Jeudy/Lamb instead of Ruggs/Reagor.

in a superflex there is a tier of 10 imo, I will get one of Jeudy/Lamb anyways at 10. The top 5 rbs, burrow, Tua, Herbert and then Jeudy/Lamb.

I wouldn't mind taking Herbert at 10 also.

I'd go Burrow and Tua. Any chance of packaging 1.10 and Hilton for a rb or earlier pick?

Either, but I'm leaning CEH here if you cant work a trade to move down to the 3rd or 4th pick

Burrow and tua pretty easily given your QBs. I'd start looking at selling minshew now and see what you can get for him. He may be the starter in 2020, but he easily could be a backup in 2021

I'd go Burrow and Tua and then instantly look to move Brady or Minshew. This leaves you with three young qbs and if both qb's hit this season you have no need, hopefully, to address the qb position for several years. So when other team jump up to try and grab a qb in future drafts wr's and rb's will fall to you. Good luck.

Piling on here. With your QB's, I'd take Burrow/Tua. Those two, combined with Dak, and you could be set at QB for a long time to come.

Personally I'd probably take the 1.04 + 1.08 deal. Take Burrow with the 1.01, then Tua at 1.04 (I'd be shocked if 1.02 + 1.03 weren't Taylor and CEH). Then grab Akers (most likely)/Dobbins/Swift with the 1.08. none of those would be available at 1.10, and at least one of them will drop there.

I'd probably try and get a 3rd added in though as well, if they have one available.
12 team - 1QB, PPR
QB- Mahomes, Geno, Dobbs
RB- Ekeler, Taylor, Z.White, B.Robinson, Mattison, Stevenson, Zeke
WR- Allen, Jefferson, Tyreek, AJ Brown, M.Thomas, Atwell
TE- McBride, Waller, J.Smith

12 team - SF, PPR, 0.25PPC, 1.5 TEP
QB - Allen, Lawrence, Jackson
RB - JT, Etienne, Hall, K.Williams, Gibbs, Dobbins
WR - Lamb, St Brown, AJ Brown, Aiyuk, JSN, Meyers
TE - Pitts, Engram, Freiermuth, Otton,

That's not a bad idea, maybe get a future 2nd added in?

I tried a bunch of trades with Minshew/1.10 to move up, no one wants to do it.

I’m taking Burrow and CEH. CEH and Taylor are being valued more than Tua in SF rankings and in the start-up drafts I’ve done. 12 team SF I’m in rn CEH went 3.03, JT 3.09. Tua 6.05.
