Yeah this would be like getting 40 cents on the dollar. Definitely would benefit him more than you, so agreed with the hold. Maybe he'll hit you up again as the season gets closer.

I tried offering him to the CEH owner but he had no interest, tried a 2021 2nd to the rest of the league, again no interest.

Ended up getting 3.03 for him in a 12 team draft. Perhaps too little, if CEH gets injured, but seems worth a shot going for the pick. At least after reading this thread, I'm more reassured I didnt sell too light.

I’m in a similar spot. For prices like that, I’d rather hold and see if early on they split time or if CEH gets hurt, he gets a big short term boost.

I told the soon to be CEH owner that if he’s waiting me out to cut him it won’t happen. Too much potential upside.

Moved him for a 2021 1st pre NFL draft and then CEH ended up falling to me at 1.03 in our rookie draft. Part of me wishes i still had him on my roster but i don't think i would even pay a 2nd for him at this point. A pair of 3rds seems fair.

Got 2021 3rd plus the 4.03. I think it's only a matter of time before CEH takes over. Could be weeks, could be a year.

If the guy is in rebuild (earned the 1.01), then Damien Williams will mean significantly less to him as a handcuff. Williams could be gone next year for all we know. I think fair value is early to mid 3rd. I'd pay a late 2nd if I was a contender with CEH on my roster.

x 2. A rebuilding team might shrug at the idea of paying something for a handcuff. He might not be interested even at 50 cents on the dollar.

I have CEH on a team that's not competing and wouldn't really care about acquiring Williams unless I felt I was getting a significant plus value regardless of the fact that I have CEH.

That said...no harm in sending an offer of Williams for 2021 2nd. I've seen rebuilding teams do crazier things.

This post inspired me to send an offer asking for the 21' 2nd of the CEH owner who is kind of a middling team. He snap accepted. If he is competitive I think its a fair deal. If he ends up tanking his 2nd will be an awesome piece.
