Nick Chubb vs the 1.01?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Nick Chubb vs the 1.01?

Postby lukkynumber13 » Fri May 08, 2020 10:38 pm

Pretty cut & dry, what asset would you rather have?

I’m honestly not sure.

Figure a 12 team, 1QB league
TEAM A - 12T (22 R/U, 20 R/U, 19 R/U, 18 Champ, 17 R/U)
HERBERT, Baker
BIJAN/KAMARA/MIXON, A Jones
HILL/AJB/DK/G WILSON/D Adams, Pittman, Z Flowers, Evans
KITTLE
/
TEAM B - 16T, SF, TEP (22 R/U)
HURTS/MINSHEW, Cousins, D Jones
JT/JACOBS, Mostert, Gus E
HILL/MCLAURIN/DEEBO
KELCE/KITTLE, LaPorta
/
TEAM C - 14T, SF (Joined in 22)
GENO
HENRY/A JONES, Gus E
HILL/DIGGS/K ALLEN
WALLER
/
TEAM D - 14T, 1QB (Joined in 22)
MAHOMES, Goff
BIJAN/BREECE/POLLARD
CHASE/DIGGS/G WILSON/AIYUK, DJM, Pittman
KITTLE, Goedert
/
TEAM E - 14T, SF, 2TE (Started in 22)
MAHOMES/T-LAW, Carr
BIJAN/CMC/SAQUON/POLLARD, Hall
HILL/AIYUK/EVANS/GODWIN, Hollywood, Thielen

TEAM F - 16T (Joined in 23)
R WILSON, Minshew
SAQUON/KAMARA/MIXON, Monty
DIGGS/GODWIN/AIYUK/EVANS, Thielen, A Cooper
KELCE, Schultz
/
TEAM G - 12T, SF & TEP (Joined in 23)

On one hand we know Chubb will get his... On the other I am willing to bet CEH/JT will post a season just as good as Chubb and don't have a catastrophic knee injury on their record (seeing Gurley's sharp decline due to inescapable knee pain is worrisome).

Due to the knee thing I lean 1.01 but it's a toss up as mizelle ADP would suggest (CEH @ 12, followed immediately by Chubb then JT)
12 Team 1 ppr .1 points per carry
Garbage
QB Jalen Hurts
RB A-train, D'Onta Foreman,Jahmyr Gibbs, JK Dobbins, Rashaad Penny, AJ Dillon, Jerrick McKinnon, Joshua Kelley, TDP, Chase Edmonds, JRob, Zamir White
WR CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, DJ Moore, Hollywood Brown, Brandin Cooks, Odell Beckham Junior, Marvin Jones, Braxton Berrios, Richie James
TE Dalton Kincaid, Foster Moreau
+2 Flex
1.02, 1.06

Chubb, but it's close. CEH,JT, and Dobbins all could be Chubb, but with 2 good knees.

With the 1.01 you could draft a younger back who will catch Chubb in production at some point in the next few years. But, if you're a contender, then it feels like an unnecessary risk.

RB values change so quickly, that it's hard to say. Chubb is probably at his highest point in value right now. Can't see it getting any better when he hits the >25 mark.

Chubb. Know commodity. He'll lose some work to hunt, but CEH will lose some to Williams, Taylor to Mack etc etc

With hunt in the mix, chubbs numbers were not that great. I expect the same this year. Once ( if hunt moves on, I feel more confident in him. But at the same time JT or CEH will be entrenched as the rb1 on their teams. plus age. That is why I would take the 1.1.
