Grade my Rookie Draft

I'm in a 2QB 10 team league. The picks I had were 1.05, 2.01, 3.01, and 3.02. Burrow, Tua, CEH, and JT all went before me.

- I took WR CeeDee Lamb at pick 1.05 (I wanted the best longterm player with the most upside since I have no real holes.)

- At pick 2.01 I took QB Justin Herbert (Siince the top RBs were gone by that point, I decided on taking a flier on Herbert. I think Keshawn Vaughn was the best back available there.)

- With the first pick in the 3rd I took RB Zach Moss. (Was the best back available at this point and could overtake Singletary.)

- Then with the second pick in the 3rd I didn't see anyone worth taking to help me this year so I traded it for a high 2nd in 2021.

I should be fine competing for another title this year, and next year I have a good number of high draft picks to add to my depth at RB and add more depth at QB as well.

Let me know your thoughts on both my draft and outlook for this team.

Your team is in great shape and I think adding Lamb will be great down the line. Nice pick with Herbert as he is worth the gamble with a 2nd. Really like the deal netting you an early 2021 2nd. Very solid draft for the picks you had.

Even in a 10 team league, I don't see how anyone could have a better team. Nice job on that roster and nice job on your rookie draft. After this season, I would explore selling Dalvin Cook for a haul. It could be his time soon being his last year on his contract.

Looks good. Even in a 10 team league, getting Herbert at 2.01 is great value. You are a lot stronger at WR than RB. I'd look to move someone like Kupp for another RB maybe. But other than that your roster looks solid.

I think some folks in my league are scared to trade with me since I’ve generally gotten the better of most of my trades. If I don’t see a fair deal I like by dealing one of my WRs, I’ll simply keep them and load up on depth at RB and QB next draft.

I don't love any of the players you drafted but the rationale makes sense and the value is fine.

Lamb - I prefer Jeudy and the 3 remaining RBs but the pick is fine if you're good at RB.

Herbert - dislike the player but the value is fine (11th overall) plus you need a 3rd QB

Moss - ok value, I'd be curious who else was available (AJ Dillon?)

I prefer Lamb over Jeudy due to his explosive traits over Jeudy. And Lamb is a very good route runner in his own right as well. And Lamb has better hands.

Im not super high on Herbert either, but he was the best value pick at the 2.01 spot and I did need more depth at QB. He could surprise me and be a Josh Allen type QB.

As for Moss, he has better athletic traits over Dillon, and I feel a better opportunity in Buffalo over Green Bay since GB has Aaron Jones, an established runner already on the team. Singletary is good, but isn't on Aaron Jones' tier yet.
