OTC in a SFX startup. What to do?

EDIT: I’m just gonna keep updating this topic as scenarios pop up. Right now I’m on the clock and trying to decide between a few uninspiring RBs or upside WR/TEs. Feel free to jump to the most recent posts!

I’ve never done a dynasty startup draft before, my other league was an auction.

I'm at 3.12/4.1 and Jonathan Taylor is sitting here. So far, I moved down from 1.12 and got a 4th, drafted Godwin at 2.1, moved back up for a 5th and drafted Kyler. So, Godwin/Kyler and turned a 5th into a 4th. I've got these bookends coming up and these are the RBs left:

-Jonathan Taylor
-Fournette
-Drake
-Swift
-Dobbins
-Gordon
-Gurley
-Akers
-everyone else you'd expect after that

OBJ and Dak are also here.

This guy has approached me (mid-round picks, 4.7, 5.6, etc) and essentially offered a "what'll it take" for my pick to get Jonathan Taylor. I was thinking I'd stay put and draft Taylor and either Dak or OBJ, but given his seeming willingness to pay big, what would a good ask be?

SF, I would take Dak for sure.

In SFX, Dak easily. For me, it’s not that close, in SF leagues. I’ve already been in 5 SF startups and Dak has went 1.11, 2.08, 2.09, 2.01 and 1.09. OBJ has went 4.08, 4.10, 4.03, 4.07 and 3.03. You can get really good WRs late because the position is so deep, but it’s harder to get young top 5-10 QBs.

Thanks y'all, that was my inclination but having never done a startup snake draft, I'm still mentally sorting through where the cliffs are between tiers. Both Dak and OBJ have slipped well past their ADP from what I can see.

I stayed put and took Taylor and Dak. I feel like Kyler, Godwin, Dak, and Taylor is a pretty strong start and that extra 4th I traded for is only 5-6 picks away so I can maybe grab another wide then.

Thanks. Yeah, OBJ is fairly clearly the most exciting player left on the board IMO but if he were to go, I could settle for Kupp, Keenan Allen, or ARob. Or double dip on rookie RBs and nab Dobbins, I suppose. Kenyan Drake went after I picked.

Hell of a start for your 1st SF draft. Great value on all your picks at this point. Now into my favorite part of a startup ... the middle rounds. Just keep taking the value guys that slide for unknown reasons but make sure you are shooting your shot for guys you like too much more fun when you like to root for the guys you draft!

Definitely explore what the other owner would pay for Taylor.

What would the pick value be if I would entertain an offer for Taylor?

His players so far are Mahomes, Adams, Juju, and Kupp. He picked those first three over Taylor outright, so one would assume they're not on the table.

He’s your player now, you don’t have to come up with an offer. If someone else wants him, they have to pay. You have a nice build going, so you need incentive to let him go. A player taken higher is not out of the question or you just keep what you have.

QB: Murray / Dak
RB: Taylor
WR: Godwin / Beckham?
