Kupp+ for Dobbins for RB needy team?

Postby StripesOfKC » Mon May 04, 2020 6:35 pm

8 Team 0.5 PPR

My Team (Starters in Bold: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 2 FLEX, 1 D, 1 K)
QB: Watson, Daniel Jones, Sam Darnold
RB: Zeke, Jonathan Taylor, Derrius Guice, Tarik Cohen, Chase Edmonds, Justice Hill, Damien Harris
WR: Michael Thomas, OBJ, Kupp, Courtland Sutton, AJ Brown, Denzel Mims, Gallup, Michael Pittman, Diontae Johnson, Anthony Miller, Bryan Edwards, Parris Campbell, Antonio Gandy Golden
TE: Kittle, Hockenson, Gesicki
D- Steelers
K: Gould

Picks
2021: 2 Seconds, 1 Fourth
2022: 1 First, 1 Second, 1 Third, 1 Fourth

Won the championship last year but did so as a non-top 2 seed with two really close playoff wins, and now no longer the favorite with the flurry of offseason activity though likely still a playoff team

Clearly the hole is at RB: I just had a rookie draft where I planned on getting more RBs, only for others to reach hard on them and have to take WRs for the sake of decent value, so looking for a trade and this is the one on the table:

RBs are really hard to trade for in this league and this is the best deal for a young one I have been able to find

Give Cooper Kupp+Michael Gallup+2022 2nd
Get JK Dobbins

It's a bit steep but Dobbins helps your build more than what you are giving up.

I know it's an overpay but I have been looking for an RB for quite some time and not been able to find any takers. I have a ton of WR depth but so little at RB and no first next year.
I kicked the tires on CEH and was offered him for AJ Brown and OBJ
I inquired about Josh Jacobs and was told the price is Kupp and Kittle.
This was the most reasonable deal I found for a young RB

Why are folks so down on Cooper Kupp? That’s selling him for way too cheap. Dude is a top 15 dynasty WR easily.

I am not down on him. I wish people would look at my roster before picking a side. Pretty clear need at RB with a lot of WR depth, and I have been looking at dealing for an RB for quite some time without being able to find a halfway decent deal. I don’t really know what other approach to take. It is definitely an overpay—just wondering if roster build and RB need makes it justifiable. I understand the value is on the Kupp side

I would easily pay that for Dobbins.

People seem to be sleeping on the future workhorse, talented RB paired with L. Jackson and the Ravens rushing attack. I've heard people say this was a bad landing spot? This is about as good as it gets!

I think we also just likely saw career years out of Gallup & Kupp, so I expect both of their values to go down moving forward.

Anyone else? The poll seems to be swinging in favor of the Kupp side but I am still split

Definitely Kupp side for me. Kupp finished WR5 last year and is 26. Gallup finished 22 and is 24. I love Dobbins and think he landed in one of the best spots possible but that is a huge overpay.

So the value is on the Kupp side, that being said for your team i can see making this trade but you are overpaying for sure. I still voted for Kupp side because that is what the value is and this is the perfect reason why we let people manage their own team because sometimes needs outweigh value.

I like Dobbins and not a fan of the WRs you'd be giving up, but seems like an overpay to me. Even the 2nd is more valuable in your league since it's only 8 teams. I think you can probably remove Gallup or 2nd and still be able to make this trade.

I think its an overpay, but some leagues are so RB crazy that the only way you can trade for one is to overpay. If you need an RB, and this is best offer you have received, then I have no issues with you taking it.
