I'm pretty high on Vaughn, so I see this as trading a late 1st next year for a late 1st this year since I would've taken Vaughn a few spots higher than where I did. Right now I'd rather have the 1st. But if Vaughn is the starter and has a good rookie season, he's going to be worth much more than that.

I don’t dislike it either as long as you are a Vaughn believer. I, however, am not. Took him at pick 13 in my rookie draft after I was sniped by the 1.12 and never felt good about it. Turned around and sold Vaughn plus a 2021 2nd (2.10-2.12 range) for a 2021 1st (1.06-1.10) + P. At the end of the day though I agree with Goddard. If you like him and he has a good rookie season, that will be the cheapest you’ll ever get him.
