Herbert vs Garoppolo superflex (poll)

In a 12 team Superflex I have an offer of getting jimmy g for a pick that, based on the other picks I have, will essentially be Justin Herbert. Who do you prefer? I feel Herbert has more upside but is a bust risk where Garoppolo is low ceiling but fairly safe.

I may be in the minority and to preface it, I’m wearing red and gold glasses but I think Jimmys going to take another step forward this season. He makes 1-2 boneheaded decisions a game but he puts great zip on short/intermediate routes and Kyle can scheme anyone open for him. And even if you don’t think he takes a step forward play wise, they’ve dumped a ton of resources into wideouts in the last 2 drafts so I think they want to open it up a little more. They may not be top 5 in pass attempts, but I can definitely see them being middle of the road next year which is much more promising than their bottom 5 finish last year.

I think Jimbo is the safer asset. Herbert has big upside, but hard to say how he translates. You know what you are getting with Garoppolo. One of the big concerns on upside with Garoppolo, is the system he plays in.

Totally depends on your team and situation. Are you contending or rebuilding? Who are your other QBs?

If you're rebuilding, take the higher upside in Herbert. If this is going to be your QB3 and you have 2 really solid QBs, take the high ceiling play in Herbert.

If you need a reliable QB2 right now, take Jimmy G. If you're a contender and want a safe QB3, take Jimmy G.

If this is your third QB then it could make some sense, but I still think you should be able to get something else in return. Maybe I'm just a Herbert hater, IDK.
