Rookie Draft Thoughts

Postby fantasydem » Tue Apr 28, 2020 9:40 am

Hello guys, this is for team 1 in my signature. Started the draft with picks 1.5, 2.5, 2.12, 3.12, & 4.5. My team desperately needs every position so I made some moves.

- took Lamb at 1.5, looking back on it I wish I would’ve taken Dobbins, this league went crazy on RBs in the first round. Considering reaching out to the Dobbins owner for a potential trade.

-traded Mack for the 1.9, then traded the 1.9 & 2.12 for the 2.1 & 2.2. Took Jefferson & Herbert

-traded AJG/21 2nd for the 2.4, I know I overpaid by adding the 2nd but AJG is collecting dust on my team & is one injury away from having no value. I was getting no interest for him & I also loved the WR depth left so I pulled the trigger. Took Pittman & Mims at 2.4 & 2.5.

- I went WR heavy, I loved the depth in this draft & hoping that a couple of these guys turn into studs. Thoughts? I’ll post the full draft below (through 2.5 rounds)

Looks like you came out with some solid pieces with building for the future. I like Lamb a lot more than Dobbins long term. RBs are great for the immediate but wr's hold their value much longer.

Why would you take Lamb, or Dobbins, over Tua??

You were lucky to get Herbert so late.

I would have help AJG into the season and traded him for more after a big game or two.

I’m just not sold on Tua. I know I’m in the minority but the injuries & surgeries (regardless of severity) worry me. He doesn’t have much to throw too in Miami plus he’s throwing behind one of the worst olines in the league. But he has the talent to be a top tier QB so passing on him could end up coming back to haunt me
