Michel for a 2021 1st

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Michel for a 2021 1st

Postby Ktmjelde » Tue Apr 14, 2020 8:10 am

Given my current Team structure and lack of a RB3, I have the Michel owner interested in my 2021 1st. Given my team and the fact i have finished in the top 2 the last three years the pick will most likely be a late pick. I also have 1.03 and 1.07 and plan to go a mix of RB/WR with these picks. I am always reluctant to trade my picks as i love drafting. Thoughts?

I would keep your 1st before moving it for a back like Michel. Tons of reason to doubt he'll ever perform up to his draft status.

I'd rather take that 1.07 and your 21 1st and perhaps something else and try to package that for pick 2 and address your RB with 2 of the the top 3 picks in this year's draft.

As a Pats fan who has watched every game Sony has played over the last 2 years he's a painfully average player who will get what is blocked for him and that's about it. Maybe he leads a committee on 1st and 2nd down but he's not a guy you can start with any confidence.

Agree with the above.

While Michel has a chance to gain value with an unknown QB and more of a commitment to the run, I wouldn't buy him for a 1st. I think you're better off putting a package together to buy a young proven back.

Unfortunately the same owner holds the 1.02 pick and 1.04 and is love with Swift. I would say the only hope to trade up would be to 1.05.... would you trade 1.07 and a late 2021 1st to move to 1.05 to ensure i get Dobby and one of the two WRs?

I’m holding the 21 1st here. I’m just not a believer in Michel.

Michel = late 2nd for me. I wouldn't pay anywhere near a 1st for him. You can probably get a top RB at 1.03 or a pretty decent RB prospect at 1.07, like Akers or CEH. I'd just hold onto those picks.

Not a fan of Michel, and wouldn't trade any 1st to get him. I think there are some better targets for a 1st round pick.

If you're confident that your 21 1st will be late, I'd be okay with giving that and your 1.07 for 1.05. But I think I'd wait until until after the draft to see where the landing spots fall first. Overall I'm very high on the top 5 in this class though.
