Dawson Knox

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Dawson Knox

Postby hudini33 » Thu Apr 09, 2020 8:41 am

How do we feel about this guy? Showed fairly well for a rookie, but I'm not sure theres enough to go around in this offense. Is he just a roster clogger? And should he be cut/traded?

I'd hold him if you can afford to do so. I think he could be a decent backup TE, and is young enough that he could still break out to be more than that.

He looked to have upside and ability. TEs usually take years to develop, so he is a nice hold.

I have him as my 3rd TE, and think he has good upside as a hold for me. I may try and deal Dalvin Cook and Darren Waller for CMC if I can, so I would only then have Knox and Greg Olsen as my backup TEs to Kittle.

He's athletic, but I don't know how many targets he'll get behind Diggs and Brown and Beasley in a run-first BUF offense. I'd probably sell for an early 3rd or package him as part of a larger deal in a shallower 21-man roster spot format.

That's what I'm most worried about.

I like his talent, but hes not in a great system for it.

Im high on him, based on talent, and think sometimes, when you like a guys talent, ignore the situation as those are more fluid than talent
In too many leagues to post rosters, but they almost all have ajb

I'd keep him. He has a very high ceiling. He's young, and flashed some serious playmaking ability year 1. He's a good blocker, so should see the field a lot.
