My League is adding a IDP Flex spot(It will be the only IDP spot)

So one of my leagues is adding an IDP flex spot and this will be the only IDP starting spot. Usually, I would only be targeting linebackers, but with this scoring, would DBs and DEs now be an option?


+Return Yards includes IDP (1 pt for every 10 yards for punt and kick returns)
+.5 for Assisted Tackle
+1 for solo tackle
+3 for INT
+2 for Sack
+1 for Forced Fumble
+2 for Fumble Recovery
+2 for Safety
+6 for Defensive TDs
+3 for XP Block
+3 for Blocked Punt
+3 for Blocked Kick
+6 for Blocked Kick Return for TD
+6 for Blocked Punt Return for TD
+2 for Conversion Returns

I would still aim for top end linebackers.

DEs are not going to have any value, low point values for sacks. You can just get by by playing match-ups and streaming LBs who rack up tackles.

Tackles will get the most points in my opinion. Top end linebackers coukd rack up 10-12 points on tackles alone.

Need to add more than just 1 spot - also would suggest adding the different positions as well - waiver wire will be overloaded with points

The guys in my league have been playing dynasty for 7+ years but have never played in an IDP league (I have though). They want to take it slowly. I am trying to convince the guys to move up sacks to 5 points each to help out DEs.

Even if the DEs have more value everyone will still be starting stud DE and LB and not rostering any depth. Adding more spots is really the only way to give value to IDPs.
