Henry for Picks in SF

Postby jonesmaster » Mon Mar 30, 2020 12:32 pm

I have an offer out for Zeke (see other poll), but also have an offer in my inbox of my 1.08 and 1.09 for Derrick Henry. Obviously a cheaper option and with the allure of FA next season. What do you guys think?

This is for the team in your signature? I'd take Henry and enjoy the championship.

I personally would hold the picks and turn 8 and 9 into Akers and Dobbins. Your entire team is under 27 (aside from Russell Wilson) and has a lot of potential. I think if you make that trade you will wish you hadn't by next off season. If your goal is just to win next year, take it. I would look past next year and reject it. But I am very low on Henry though.
Team 1: 12 team, PPR
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex

Mahomes, Lawrence
Najee, Swift, Javonte, Jamaal W, Murray
DK, DJM, Juju, Jameson, Gallup, Van
Pitts, Friermuth
1.01, 1.04, 1.11, 1.12, 3.10, 2 firsts next year

Team 2: 12 Team, SF TEP (1.5 PPR)
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex, 1 SF

Mahomes, Burrow, Cousins, Rudolph
CEH, Swift, Gibson, Jacobs, Mattison, Scott, McFarland
DK, AJB, Ridley, McLaurin, Kupp, Landry, Mims, Hamler, Miller, Johnson, Robinson
Andrews, H. Henry, Sternberger, Alie-Cox, Herndon

Same as Team 2
Watson, Burrow, Lance, Z. Wilson
Pollard, Mattison
Chase, D. Smith, Boyd, Hardman, E. Moore, Cephus, A. Rodgers, Harry, Boykin, A. Tate, Miller
Hockenson, Thomas, Albert O, Njoku
3 additional firsts

Same as Team 2
TLaw, Burrow, Watson, Darnold
CEH, Gus, Cohen
Juju, Chark, Shenault, Boyd, Landry, Renfrow, Robinson,
Engram, Kmet, Firkser, Schultz, Arnold, Herndon

It's wishful thinking at best to project Dobbins and Akers available that late.

For your team I'd do it. But I do think that's a good return if you're selling Henry, especially in SF.

Based on http://mizelle.net/mfl/2020/rookies/ which allows DLF players to rank rookies, in superflex Akers is ranked 9 and JK is ranked 7 with Herbert behind him. If both of them are gone then you get Jeudy and Lamb and then trade for a RB.

0% chance I'm giving that for Henry, especially in SF. The way an amazing dynasty like yours crumbles is making trades like this for players with 2-3 more years of shelf life coming off what is undoubtedly the best season of their career.

Take the Zeke offer and be done with it. You pay a few more lower picks to get Zeke instead of Henry.
