Any RB sleepers here? PPR startup draft

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Any RB sleepers here? PPR startup draft

Postby Buckhill Bombers » Thu Mar 26, 2020 11:33 am

So I'm coming up on back to back picks in the 17th and 18th rounds in my PPR best ball superflex TE premium scoring dynasty league. My updated roster so far, and as a reminder we start 1qb, 2rb, 2wr, 0te, 1 superflex, 3 regular flex spots:

Watson, Murray, Haskins, T. Hill
Cook, Gordon, Cohen
AJ Brown, McLaurin, Deebo, Gallup, Woods, Hardman
Gesicki
Rookie Picks 2.11, 2.12

RB still the biggest need I'd say. D. Freeman is still there, Love, Hyde, Jamal Williams, Duke Johnson, J. Samuels, AP? pretty slim pickings...maybe take mid 3 rounders instead? Thoughts?

If you are focusing on RB I would say Freeman, Coleman, and Edmonds are my favorites. If you want best player:

T. Hill- I would hope Saints tendered T. Hill so highly to take over next year.
AB- AB I think he plays in NFL this year, not sure where but I Think he is still really good.
Freeman- I think he could be lead back of a committee somewhere
Coleman- could be main back in San Fran or not
Watkins- Can he resurrect? Probably not, but he has elite flashes
Trubisky- could retain starting Qb spot to could lose out to Foles, but in Superflex I may gamble here eventually.

thats how I have it ordered.

Thank you, any others mind sharing thoughts, recommendations? Not opposed to picks here either IF you think they are worth more than RBs or other positions...

IDK how the Patriots will look without Brady, but James White has been known to put up a couple of huge weeks every year and would probably be a fantastic best ball RB flyer.

Love is one player that I would target in a start up. He would have been a top RB if he left after his jr year. With Guice having issues, he should have the ability to make it on the field then he just has to prove himself.
Team 1: 12 team, PPR
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex

Mahomes, Lawrence
Najee, Swift, Javonte, Jamaal W, Murray
DK, DJM, Juju, Jameson, Gallup, Van
Pitts, Friermuth
1.01, 1.04, 1.11, 1.12, 3.10, 2 firsts next year

Team 2: 12 Team, SF TEP (1.5 PPR)
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex, 1 SF

Mahomes, Burrow, Cousins, Rudolph
CEH, Swift, Gibson, Jacobs, Mattison, Scott, McFarland
DK, AJB, Ridley, McLaurin, Kupp, Landry, Mims, Hamler, Miller, Johnson, Robinson
Andrews, H. Henry, Sternberger, Alie-Cox, Herndon

Same as Team 2
Watson, Burrow, Lance, Z. Wilson
Pollard, Mattison
Chase, D. Smith, Boyd, Hardman, E. Moore, Cephus, A. Rodgers, Harry, Boykin, A. Tate, Miller
Hockenson, Thomas, Albert O, Njoku
3 additional firsts

Same as Team 2
TLaw, Burrow, Watson, Darnold
CEH, Gus, Cohen
Juju, Chark, Shenault, Boyd, Landry, Renfrow, Robinson,
Engram, Kmet, Firkser, Schultz, Arnold, Herndon
5 additional firsts

I think I’d go Trubisky in hopes he can keep the starting job. I’d also look at Coleman, Freeman, Cohen or even White.

I took Cohen with the first pick. Now going back and forth Edmonds (only Drake in front of him and he's just on a 1 year deal) and T. Coleman. Seems Coleman has a lot more competition, and Edmonds was HUGE last year for a 3-4 stretch before he got hurt. Am I dumb to take Edmonds with this second pick?

I am an Edmonds fan. I picked him up from waiver at end of year hoping Drake was let go. I still think he has a role. In superflex I would go T. Hill or Trubisky.

So I ended up taking Cohen and T. Hill. Any other late RB sleepers you guys would target? Freeman is still there, Love, Hyde, Jamal Williams, Duke Johnson, J. Samuels, AP? pretty slim pickings...maybe take mid 3 rounders instead?
