This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Hopkins

Postby EAGLES » Thu Mar 26, 2020 4:38 am

What’s everyone think about Hopkins with Kyler? Should we expect the same production or expecting a drop in production losing Watson as his QB?

I have him in a 12 team Best Ball SuperFlex league with a 1.75 PPR TE premium.

I’m considering moving him for depth...would either of these be enough?

If anything he goes up right? Not much difference in Watson and Murray. Also he's on a better offense which benefits him even more.

I definitely don't think the situation warrants a drop in value. It could eventually be more beneficial... uptempo, pass heavy, and a good young QB. No way I ever trade a stud for depth. AJB is not a good enough big chip.

Neither of those offers are enough. His value isn't hurt at all to me.

DHop will be just fine, if not better w the AZ uptempo offense. I understand contemplating AJB/Andrews in a TE premium league if you lack a quality TE, but as much as I like the potential of AJB, I'm not certain enough to pull the trigger on these deals personally.

Agree with all the above. His value did not go down. I was actually happy with it. Those offers are not close for Hopkins.

I don't hate either of those offers, as I'm very high on Brown, but I'd hold Hopkins here.

I do, however, think his production will take a slight hit with the move to Arizona. Hopkins finished top 5 in targets among WRs in each of his 3 years playing with Watson. Arizona runs lots of 3 & 4 WR sets and ideally they want to spread the ball around. That's not to say Kyler won't lock on to Hopkins as they develop chemistry together, but I don't think he falls out of bed and sees the same target share right out of the gate.

I don't see a huge change. I'd sell for Andrews + Brown + 1.06, but not for the current offers.

I would hold for both current offers and I see no change/worry with his move to Arizona.
