*Update w/ Barkley offer* SuperFlex Startup...skip QB?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

*Update w/ Barkley offer* SuperFlex Startup...skip QB?

Postby EAGLES » Tue Mar 24, 2020 4:09 pm

I know I need to go QB here but the quality of WRs has me second guessing myself. Would you grab a QB1 or WR1 and take QBs in the 4th?

I take a stud positional player at 3.05 then pick again in 9 at 4.03 which should land me a backend QB1.

12 Team | BestBall | PPR | RB/WR premium on yards | 1.75 TE
1QB 2RB 2WR 1TE 3Flex 1SuperFlex

My team so far:
Zeke, Hopkins
Upcoming picks:
3.05, 4.03, 4.06, 5.10

QBs available:
Wentz, J Allen, Baker, Ryan, Goff, D Jones, Rodgers
WRs available:
JuJu, Evans, Amari, OBJ, Golladay, DJ Moore
RBs Available:
Fournette, Miles
TEs available:
All except Kittle and Kelce

Waiting this long and still getting Wentz is like a gift from the gods.

Bestball I don't think you need to go qb-qb necessarily, but getting Wentz here is awesome. Grab Wentz here and then consider options in the 4th
Team #1: 2nd place
12 team, 1 ppr (1.5 te), 1Q,2R,2W,1T,2F,1D,1K

Q: Kyler, AR

W: Evans, Chase, Mooney, Collins, Dell, Pickens
T: Kelce, Goedert
D: nyj
K: Sanders

Team #2: back to back champion
12 team, 1ppr (1.5 te), 1Q,2R,2W,1T,1SF,1F,1D,1K

Q: R Wilson, Murray, Watson
R: Swift, Walker, gus bus
W: Puka, Metcalf, Dell, Cooper, DJM, K Allen
T: Kelce, Pitts
K: Tucker
D: CLE

Team #3: back to back champion
14 team, SF, 1PPR (2PPR for TE), 1Q,2R,3W,1T,1SF,2F

Q: Mahomes, Rodgers, Watson, Heinicke, walker
R: Mostert, walker, a Jones, Wilson, Charb, Z White, McLaughlin, freeman, d Williams, Reynolds,
W: Waddle, A St Brown, K Allen, Cooper, Nuk, Juju

Very well could be depending on this "RB/WR premium on yards". You got some specifics on that? It makes a big difference. Lol
12 Team SF IDP
QB - Mahomes, Lawrence, Mac
RB - Etienne, Walker, Rhamondre, Javonte, Akers, CEH
WR - AJB, Waddle, Higgins, Gabe, Toney
TE - Andrews, ISJ
DL - Quinnen, Highsmith, Josh Allen
LB - Lloyd, JOK, Gay, Bush
DB - Winfield, Love, Delpit

14 Team 1QB IDP
QB - Fields, Jimmy G
RB - Henry, Kamara, Swift, Herbert
WR - Adams, Juju, Jakobi, Theilen
TE - Hock, Everett
DL - Garrett, Buckner, Sweat
LB - White, David, Okereke, Jack
DB - Budda, CJGJ, Dugger, Byard

Receiving and rushing yards are 1.25 per 10 yards. The rushing premium is also on QBs as well. QBs also get .06 points per yard which is nice as well.

So I’m leaning Wentz or Allen now bc of their rushing ability. Allen put up 362 points in this league last season and Wentz 340

Yeah Wentz for sure. You gotta think that team drafts a WR in the first round and he put up good points with no one last year.

It’s best ball it’s not a forced qb grab here, you can go the quantity route in best ball. That said I’d take wentz for sure :)

I went with my gut and took J Allen for his rushing upside in this league. I moved my 6.03 and 2021 1st for that pick. I’m now up in 8 picks. Considering trying to move up from my 4.03 to one of the upcoming picks to snag Wentz, Amari, OBJ or JuJu. Then take a QB2 with my 4.06 pick.

Any thoughts on what to add to 4.03 to move up?

Upcoming picks I have:
4.03, 4.06, 5.10, 7.10, 8.03, 9.10 etc

QBs available:
Wentz, Baker, Ryan, Goff, D Jones, Rodgers
WRs available:
JuJu, Amari, OBJ, Golladay, DJ Moore
RBs Available:
Fournette, Miles
TEs available:
All except Kittle, Kelce, Andrews

I agree you need a QB but your always going to have people in your league undervalue QBs. I actually would go Juju here and I bet the QBs you have available at the 2 picks in the 4th round will be very solid and I don't think your losing to much on missing Wentz or Allen. My big reasoning is I hate that tier of QB I think Wentz, Allen, and Goff are not very much better than guys like Jones, Rodgers, or Cousins.

Best ball, don’t move up unless it’s a bargain. Overpaying to move up in best ball is a mistake in my opinion, depth is huge in the format.
