16 team superflex TE premium startup with rookies

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

16 team superflex TE premium startup with rookies

Postby slaughterrt » Sun Mar 22, 2020 6:14 pm

For the hell of it...

16 team ppr superflex TE premium startup......
2020 rookies are included in the startup so it is making for an interesting draft. QBs are scarce. Rookies are being over drafted. Vets are falling. I’m trying my best not to reach on players and draft value but having the .14/.03 turn kills me since I have to wait 22 spots between my odd and even rounds. Sorta having to reach 1-2 rounds on some guys if I want them. Also, the other owners are quite savvy and I’ve been sniped a couple times. Trying to zig while everyone zags hasn’t worked great.

Team so far after 14 rounds (of 36).

1.14 Carson Wentz - If healthy and PHI can get him some help, Wentz should be able to return to form.
2.03 Dak Prescott - I feel like a contract extension is coming as it’s just a matter of time.
3.14 Kenny Golladay - WR1 with a healthy Stafford.
4.03 Austin Ekeler - PPR monster and just got an extension. Not one to overdraft a RB but Ekeler seems safe even if they draft a RB.
5.14 Noah Fant - TE premium and liked what I saw last year. My only share of Fant and there was a run on TEs.
6.03 Deebo Samuel - Love me some Deebo and he gets his in the pass/run game. Love those rushing bonuses.
7.14 Jalen Hurts - Yeah I probably reached here but rookie QBs were flying off the board and I wanted at least one interesting rookie to get excited about when the NFL draft rolls around.
8.03 Marquise Brown - Boom or bust type, but I’ll take a high ceiling WR3 here.
9.07 Preston Williams - Loved what I saw in limited action last year. Easily the alpha dog in MIA. If he can stay healthy and keep his head on straight, this one will easily pay off.
9.14 Robby Anderson - Another knucklehead with upside and potential for a better landing spot (here’s looking at you Houston). (Unsigned as of now).
10.03 Alexander Mattison - Vikings homer here and Mattison looked solid in relief of Cook last year. Hoping for a little more timeshare action this year and maybe Cook walks next year.
11.14 Zack Moss - Another rookie I am excited to watch for in the NFL draft.
12.03 Antonio Brown - He kept falling and falling. I think he gets a job somewhere next year and I can sell (or get some points from). (Unsigned as of now)
13.14 Devonta Freeman - I think he might have a year or two left in the tank. Very landing spot dependent though (Unsigned as of now).
14.03 Steve Sims - Shifty slot guy in Washington. Could do worse here, but he put up decent PPR numbers. Hope the trend continues.
15.14 Collin Johnson - 6’6” beast and someone will need a red zone monster.
16.03 Bryce Love - Adrian Peterson is ancient and Guice can’t stay healthy. Love looked good in college when healthy.
16.08 Van Jefferson - Such a great route runner. I traded up to get him. Knew he wouldn’t last til the back of the 17th.

Will keep updating.

Appreciate you posting the recap so far. Tough spot to land for sure, but nice top 2 QBs based on draft position.

I would post the startup, but it’s on sleeper and I have no idea how. If someone wants to guide me on how to post it, I’ll happy oblige.

For another team in there 1.5/2.12 spot
5 firsts next year without a second
1.13 Russell Wilson- traded back to add and extra fifth and got a guy I might’ve take at the 5 spot anyway.
4.8 Keenan Allen- still feel like he’s a pretty safe wr1 in a league like this
4.10 jimmy garroppollo- not a high end guy whatsoever but he’s still a pretty safe qb2 at least for a couple years especially because of my next pick
4.11 tua tagalovia- this was just way too good value to pass up in a 16 team SF
4.12 Evan engram- I love having an elite TE in premium and while his injuries hurt I still have a lot of confidence in him
5.5 JK dobbins- rbs we’re getting run on pretty hard and this was one of the last guys I felt comfortable
with and was also decent value
5.13 Henry ruggs- I oofed here a bit when I was setting up my pre draft and accidentally took him....
Big reach with the other wrs left
6.16 terry Mclaurin- absolutely love him. He looked so good as a rookie to me in a bad situation. Might end up bad if they take a rookie highly but I do love him.
7.5 jordan love- trade bait pick, I’m guessing he gets drafted highly and if he does should have a value bump
8.12 mike gesicki- run on TEs and wanted to get a pretty decent backup given engrams injuries
10.4 Denzel Mims- love this kid and hoping he winds up somewhere like GB
11.5 nick foles- another trade bait pick, I think he beats out trubisky
12.12 Dawson Knox- another young guy im a fan of and hope he can develop with Josh Allen
13.5 chase Claypool- rookie upside pick either hit it big or miss big
14.12 nyheim hines- ekeler 2.0?

Not the best team but not the worst. Biggest benefits for me is the potential trade bait from my qbs and the 5 firsts
