Trade advice for rebuilding team

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade advice for rebuilding team

Postby Krissi24 » Fri Mar 13, 2020 1:14 pm

12 teams 0,5 PPR. 1QB

Roster

Goff, Tannehill
Love, Whyte, Anderson......
DJ Chark, AJ Brown, McLaurin, Butler.......
Hooper, Cook, Hollister

2020: 2.11, 3.04, 4.04
2021 7x 1st. Most likely all of the top 6 picks.

Trade offer:
Get 1.07
Give Terry McLaurin

The other owner also have 1.06.

Should I make the move and get 1.07 or keep McLaurin??

Thanks

I would hold McLaurin unless it's for a top 5 pick at any point this off season. With all your 1st next year, I would want to see how McLaurin progresses.

So your starting RBs are currently Bryce Love and Kerrith Whyte? If that's correct then obviously you need a RB. If you trade McLaurin for the 1.07 you won't be able to draft a startable running back. So don't do that. I'd focus on getting an established RB at the price of one of your WRs and or Jared Cook.

I'd probably pass on that offer, but it's probably fair. I'd be patient with that team and wait at least one more year when you can either use some of those 2021 1sts or trade them at peak price for RBs to help you start competing.

McLaurin is a young WR who has showed promise. With all those 2021 1sts, it looks like your rebuild will continue into next season. I would look to sell Tannehill, Cook, and maybe Hooper this year for young players or draft capital next year as well. You might be able to combine each player with a 2020 pick you own to gather more.
