How far off was this accepted trade?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

How far off was this accepted trade?

Postby tominansky » Sun Mar 08, 2020 11:33 am

What’s up guys. I’m interested to hear how far off this trade was from being equal value on each side.

I just sent my Monty + 1.07 + 2.12 for Kyler and it was accepted today. Considering Superflex, I know I won the trade but just curious what would’ve been needed to add to my side to make this an even trade. This is our first offseason so I’m still trying to learn as much as possible about values etc. Thanks in advance!

Nice price to get Murray locked up in SF. I could see another 2nd being added here as well.

Yeah I think a late 1st or early 2nd would do it. I think you won the trade for sure, but I don’t think it’s lopsided. It’s one of those deals where it’s close enough that I wouldn’t let “losing” by an early 2nd stop me from making the trade if I loved Montgomery.

Right now it's Murray side, next year it could easily be the package side. Probably an early to mid second off.

If the 1.07 was 1.02 I think it would be even.

I realize it’s SF and think the Murray side is the better side, but I don’t think it’s that off at all. As down as people are on Montgomery, he still had right around 1,100 total yards & 7 total TDS his rookie season on a team with bad oline & QB play. He’s only 22 and plus the 1.07 “should” net a quality player in SF.

I don't think another 2nd added to this would have been enough for me. Maybe on a trade calculator or something, but that's still a bad return for a good, young, starting QB. I'd need Monty to be swapped out with a much better player on top of the 1.07. I don't really think adding more middling pieces would make a difference if the best piece is sill the 1.07.

Considering that this is superflex, I think you won by an early/mid 1st. Apparently I'm way higher on Murray than everyone else who replied above lol

A 1st would need to be added for me. Not too high on Monty and to get a young QB in SF with the upside of Kyler is tremendous. You definitely won the trade.
