Appreciate the comment, but curious why you think his leash is getting shorter? He’s 22 (younger than burrow) and has had a terrible offense around him.

Mariota is also young right. I really dont think he's shown enough that he's certain to be their long term option

Fair enough. Mariota is 4 years older and failed behind the best o-line in football/offense that made Tannehill look like Brady though.
That said, not arguing was just curious.

I'm a Darnold truther, unfortunately he is tied to Gase for at least another year, but I think they get him a WR in the 1st round and Herndon is coming back off injury, so I think he could have a good and promising year ahead of him. Burrow is sexier right now because he doesn't have any flaws yet, but i think Darnold is the better prospect and talent overall, and Burrow really isn't going to a great situation either. IF you want to win the trade now, take the 1.01 (you might be able to flip it for more later) but I think ultimately Darnold and the 1.10 (probably someone like Akers, Love or Ruggs) is the side that is the long term winner of the trade.

Thought I might be overly high on darnold based on initial comments, but poll is tied now, interested in some more opinions if anyone else has one.

Darnold is somewhat perplexing to me. He looks great sometimes and looks utterly lost other times. He's on a terrible team that is poorly coached, but really don't see him as having a short leash.

I'd put Darnold at an early to mid 1st. Trade is probably fair, just comes down to your thoughts on Burrow. He is sexier right now because he's the rookie with unlimited upside, but he's also untested.

I'd likely take the 1.01 currently because I see the Bengals as a better offense. If I could get more added to the Darnold side, I might go that route.

I think I like the Darnold side. He has shown promise and the Jets were a much better team last year once he came back from being sick. The 1.10 should end up a usable player in a SF. Burrow looks great, but nothing in a lock.

Probably close to fair in value, but I think you could probably get more for the 1.01, and I'm not really a Darnold guy.

Thanks all. Tried to get a 2021 2 added already and he held firm. Think I’ll hold off for now and see if I get better offers or if he caves closer to the draft.
