What to do with the 1.01

Postby hingle » Thu Mar 05, 2020 10:29 am

I have the 1.01 in one of my leagues and am trying to decide what I should do with it. The top picks this year seem to be either Swift or Taylor however I think I am pretty solid at RB. Should I be looking to move back a few spots and try and get a WR, should I look to trade the pick for a proven asset, or should I just take BPA a deal with it later.

Players of note:

Goff
Mixon, Chubb, Jacobs, Bernard
Godwin, Golladay, Sutton, Bourne, Harmon, AB
Hock, Gesicki, Everett

Picks: 1.01, 2.01, 3.01, 4.01
12 Team PPR, 6pt TDs
1QB, 2RBs, 3WRs, 1TE, 2Flex (W/R/T)
QB: Jackson, Mayfield, Pickett
RB: Barkley, Taylor, N. Harris, L. Murray, Scott
WR: Jefferson, K.Allen, Higgins, Diggs, Chark, Atwell
TE: Pitts, Njoku, Mayer(R) Tremble
2024 Picks: 1.05, 3.05, 4.05/4.09

I'd take Taylor as of right now, but depending on what kind of offers you get, I wouldn't be opposed to moving the 1.01.

Personally I’m always pro trading back if you can get someone to pay up. If not just take the best player. Shouldn’t be too difficult to shop your ther RBs for wr helpmif need be.

I would put the 1.01 on the block and see what comes your way. You may get a great offer, or be happy holding.

for now I have thrown it up on the block and indicated I am looking to move back in the 1st round. Only offer I have received so far in D. Henry straight up for the pick which I am not interested in.

Yeah, that's a garbage offer IMO, but better offers should roll in over time.

I'd trade it for a stud WR. But I'd wait until after the draft when the pick is even more valuable.

I wouldn't have tipped my hat that you were willing to move 1.01 until after the draft. Landing spots always increase the value of 1.01

What kind of pick package are you wanting? I’m in the same boat as you, I’m wanting to trade back. One guy in my league has 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.7, and 1.8. I’m thinking of asking for 1.2 or 1.3 and 1.7 and seeing what he says

Id be comfortable moving back to about 1.05. It would have to be a pretty strong offer to get me to go back any further than that.

Who should I be targeting? That's what always gets me hung up, I never know who I should be shooting for.

Juju, Evans, Hill are names that come to mind. For the most part, I value all 3 over the 1.01, but their values are all over the place on this forum, so you never know. Also, like I said in my first post, if you wait until after the draft, the value of that pick should only go up and you might be able to get even more. I can see some people paying Juju+ for the pick, or if the Hill owner is nervous moving him for that or even adding something to his side.
