Adams buying price

Postby LestForce » Thu Mar 05, 2020 2:07 am

Team one in sig
I think I'm in a pretty good spot to compete as is (assuming i take RBs with the 1.02 and 1.04) However, the owner of Davante Adams has said that he would be available for a good price. Was thinking of a starting offer of 1.06 and 1.11 (am trying to not move the early 1s, and think I can make a deal without doing so) What else do you think I need to add on top to make an Adams deal done?

Dont know much about idp value but I dont see you getting Adam's with those 2 pieces as your top offerings. I'd keep the picks and use em and you'll still be In good shape

I need a top 3 pick, plus to deal Adams. I agree with above poster, keep the picks and load up on youth for the future

Agree with Z$$$ and I'm not sure that would be enough. You don't have a young WR to throw in the deal. You could offer all 3 (1.04, 1.06, 1.11) of your 2020 1st's but I doubt that would be enough. I'd keep your picks and grab a couple RBs and a WR in the first round.

I’d need the two early firsts just as a starting point. I can’t imagine two late firsts is going to interest the Adams owner at all. I’d hold the picks here and just keep building your team.

I would start with Westbrook and those two picks and try and keep the early pick and see where he goes from there. If he told you he could be had for a good price no sense starting out with your best offer.

Multiple early 1sts or an early 1st and a solid young asset is probably the going rate for Adams.

It looks like you start 2 RB, 2 WR, and 3 flex? If so, I'd just keep the picks and draft BPA to add RB and WR depth.

You have no RB depth behind Sanders, and Cooks and Westbrook are not really reliable starters. It wouldn't really make sense to trade your top picks for Adams, as it would likely require at least 1.02 + 1.04 to get him, if not more.

You can start with the 1.06 and 1.11 by adding Boyd, but not sure that gets it done. Like most have said, it should take one of the early 1sts and a solid player to get him, but who knows how the other owner feels about Adams.

If I were the seller, I wouldn't even engage in a conversation for Adams unless 1.02/1.04 was the starting point TBH

I bought him midseason last year for two 1’s, MVS, and Harry. Final deal ended up being:

Adams + 2.01
for
1.01, 1.09, MVS, Harry.

And i think that ended up being a steal. You’ll prolly need to include one of your early 1’s to get the convo started

I do agree that Adams SHOULD go for one of the early 1sts plus additional pieces. However, the league is generally overvaluing picks (midseason last year, Bell was traded for a package where a mid 2nd was the main asset). So the idea of getting 2 firsts and an additional piece for Adams is possible in this league. Even so, am I just better off holding and not grabbing Adams then? Feel like theres only so much I can do with those draft picks.

If you could get Adams for those two late 1st's and a piece like Boyd or Westbrook you should instantly do that.
