DHenry vs 1.05

For team A. I sent an offer of my Henry for their 1.05 + 2021 1st.

The counter I got was:

Give: Derrick Henry
Get: 1.05

Keep in mind it’s SF.

Thoughts?

I agree. I don’t think it’s a terrible time or price if you are looking to cash out. But I got to believe there’s another counter in there somewhere that nets you at least a future 2nd back on top.

I ended up holding Henry mainly because I need RB’s and was gonna take one with 1.05 but not sure it’s wise to gamble vs keep a guy who just ran for 1,500 yds.

I’m seeing people get 1.03 + back and unfortunately nobody in my league is willing to deal for that.

While he has put up the numbers the reality is that he is older than the rookies, is a 2 down back, and currently does not have a team. In SF I want one of those 3 QBs or Taylor Swift.

Wait for free agency. If the Titans lock Henry into a long term team his value should go up some.

Henry even in SF. Henry > Swift or Taylor. Maybe Burrow > Henry, but not Tua or Herbert.

Titans are not letting Henry walk.

In a SF I would of sold Henry for 1.5 without question. Henry is a 2 down back that dont have a part in the passing game. I'd take any of the top 3 QBs, Swift, Taylor or Jeudy over Henry before his value drops.

The league’s leading rusher who just turned 26 and has just recently been utilized properly in his offense won’t net a single 1.06 or 1.07. Lmao.

Depending on the makeup and outlook of the team holding 1.06/1.07 I could easily see passing on Henry for either of those. In SF, you’re more than likely looking at at least 2 of the top 5 non-QB prospects, and possibly Herbert, being available at those spots. Henry’s 2019 was great, but even if he returns to Tennessee, they’re going to run him until the doors fall off which is only great while it lasts. I could see a building team being far more interested in gambling on the prospects from a long term standpoint.

I would have gladly taken 1.05 for Henry on the original counter offer.
